After working together for 18 months, Daniel Dubois and Don Charles have parted ways.
Sam Jones has also been hired as Sam Jones’ new adviser as the team’s vast adjustments since Oleksandr Usyk’s defeat in July washed out.
Questions about a pre-fight gathering predominated the discussion after Dubois’ defeat.
The Londoner is now considering starting a reconstruction project after Usyk, 38, destroyed Dubois in five rounds.
Dubois made no secret of his departure from Charles when he said it. The trainer of Conor Benn, Tony Simms, is in the running for Conor.
For this next stage of my career, in which I hope to become a two-time heavyweight champion, I need a fresh start, Dubois said.

Need for the party fiasco, “Scapegoat”?
Dubois has a history of changing and cutting his coaches.
Stan, Stan’s son’s father, wanted to help his son advance as an amateur, so he moved between various London amateur clubs.
Dubois has worked with Martin Tibbs, Martin Bowers, and Shane McGuigan in his professional career.
Former David Haye and Tony Bellew coach Dave Coldwell claims Dubois’ decision to drop Charles “wasn’t a surprise.”
According to Coldwell, “that’s how boxing appears to be.” The coach is frequently held accountable.
The coach is excellent when the fighter is winning, but when he is defeated, the coach isn’t good enough.
The pre-fight party adds to the tension, too. When they learned the incident, Dubois’ promotional company Queensberry was furious.
Charles defended the party, which Dubois’ father had organized in chief, by claiming that it was small and that a similar ” gathering had taken place prior to Anthony Joshua’s win at the world title last year.
Coldwell notes that “I believe you perhaps can’t hold the coach accountable for that.”
In terms of Dubois and what transpires around the fights, I believe there are other influences besides the trainer.
Kieran Farrell, a co-trainer, has also been cut out of Dubois’ coaching staff.
Farrell and Charles helped Dubois win his first world title, but it is well known that both his father, along with promoter Frank Warren, play a significant part in the decision-making process.
According to Coldwell, Jones’ addition will suit Team Dubois because he won’t “interfere with any of the training.”
Are there too many voices and such things in Team Dubois? According to Colonel Coldwell, Anthony Joshua has 162 people in his life in today’s society.
What benefits can Dubois’ coach provide?

Simms is not a heavyweight before his appointment, which would be confirmed.
Simms has previously collaborated with Joshua, and Johnny Fisher recently joined his ranks.
Dubois and his family live close to the Matchroom Elite Boxing Gym in Essex, but the coach is in charge of it.
Dubois has recovered from his two career-defining defeats, Usyk in 2023 and Joe Joyce in 2020.
At 27, there is no need to fight hard to reclaim the title and Warren is likely to compete with Dubois conservatively in his return.
Although he does not anticipate Dubois’ development as a fighter, Coldwell does point out one area where a new coach could improve.
Daniel Dubois has a lot of mentality, according to Coldwell.
He probably needs a little better defense, but we all know he can punch, and he can punch well. He also needs to get his mentality sorted, too.
