Jin Sasaki was stopped by Brian Norman Jr. with one powerful punch in Tokyo, keeping his WBO welterweight title.

In the opening round, Sasaki was dropped twice by the American, and the one-way traffic persisted as the challenger climbed swiftly to his feet.

Sasaki, 23, attempted to use fire to ignite his home crowd, but Norman Jr. threw a powerful left hook in the fifth inning.

Sasaki was unconscious when the shot knocked him out, and the Japanese fighter spent a number of minutes being worked on by medical staff before being taken off the ring on a stretcher.

As the official outcome was announced, Norman was standing alone in the ring, unopposed.

The 24-year-old extended his unbeaten streak to 28-0 with a 22-knockout and third consecutive stoppage.

After being a top-five finisher of the year, the Georgia native is eager to add more world titles to his collection.

Although Norman Jr. intended to fight IBF and WBA champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis, his domestic rival confirmed this week that he intended to increase his weight.

He later said, “I wish I had a certain fight coming up.”

However, they were informed that B. Norman the Storm was approaching. You all are aware of what occurs when someone runs and grabs their boots.
