Noel Gallagher teased his potential setlist for the 2025 reunion tour and opened up for the first time about the Oasis ticket sale craze.
Noel Gallagher has spoken for the first time about his shock at the pandemonium over the Oasis ticket sales – and also hinted at some songs which will definitely (maybe) be played this Summer alongside brother Liam.
For his newest book, Oasis: The Masterplan, the guitarist gave photographer Kevin Cummins an interview.
Asked about the Oasis Live 25 ticket sales, Noel said: “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.”
He is also quizzed by Cummins to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: “Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some might say, Live forever and Rock’n’Roll Star.” All these songs are from early in the band’s career and are now expected to be played when the tour kicks off in Cardiff in July.
Noel responded, “The best doesn’t exist,” when asked to name his own best live performance he had seen. U2, Paul Weller, Neil Young Goldie, Ennio Morricone, The Strokes, Young Fathers, and a plethora of other artists have all been things that have stayed with me throughout the years.
Twelve months of seismic change that anchored the identity of Oasis from early 1994 are documented in Cummins’ 256-page book of photographs, many of which are never seen before.

These images show the masterplan beginning, from the just-bought-at-Affleck’s Palace attainability of their look to the Brother-sponsored Man City Shirts, the changing backgrounds from Maine Road, the Peveril of the Peak pub, and the Arndale Centre to riotous early gigs, the Virgin Megastore, and the red buses of London. Two brothers are positioned in the center, hinting at a sound that will almost be audible in the images and how it will appear everywhere.
Noel is questioned if Oasis could have existed anywhere else in the book, besides in Manchester. He replies, “Absolutely not,” saying. We are Mancuinians, y’know. There is something we have. That is the thing that the rest of the world adores. Why? F**k knows”.
He resisted catching himself singing an Oasis song while driving or doing something else, in contrast to Oasis fans. He continued, “Actually, I occasionally go for a walk if I’m stuck in my head and try to work through something in my head.”
When Cummins first took a picture of the band, he claimed Liam had “an angelic face back then.” He continued, “It was the perfect look for the British music magazine market, and so it was proven to be.”
On July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Noel and Liam will join forces for the first time since their band split in 2009. The band’s lineup is now believed to have been completed, and rehearsals are also scheduled to begin soon.
Joey Waronker and other well-known former Oasis band members are joining Liam and Noel Gallagher on drums. Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker are reportedly the full lineup that NME has reported.
Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are close friends with the band, will also be performing in the shows. Gene will instead be watching from the sidelines with Lennon because it is not believed that Villanelle will currently be playing in a support role.
