In an exclusive interview, soap star duo Nikki Sanderson and Anthony Quinlan reveal that they are expecting their first child.
Sharing a sweet video of a Christmas tree on their Instagram accounts before zooming in on a baby photo with a heart emoji, the caption reads “Happy Christmas from the three of us,” followed by a heart-emoji and the words “Baby Quinlan due 2026” with a heart emoji.
Nikki, 41, a glowing former Corrie star who left her role as Hollyoaks’ Maxine Minniver in April, tells the Mirror exclusively about their pregnancy journey and adds, “We’re happy to say it’s going to be a lovely little spring baby.”

And Anthony, the father-to-be, who previously appeared in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale and runs an online PT and supplements business, sweetly admits to “can’t wait until we’re a little team of three.” I want to “shout it from the rooftops”!
Anthony publicly confirmed their romance in April of that year, confessing that he was “really, really happy” with the newly wed couple’s relationship since the start of 2022.
It came after Nikki split from her five-year relationship with Dianne Buswell, the former Strictly Come Dancing star, and Anthony.
Before things eventually turned romantic, Anthony claimed that the pair had a strong friendship before their relationship ended in 2022. “I’ve always wanted her,” she said. He said at the time, “She’s super hot, right?” before adding, “We’ve known each other for years.”
He continued, “There were rumors that we met at the gym that we both had a good laugh about.” That was it, I slid into the DMs. The rest is history as long as I have the good fortune to get a date.

The couple’s romantic relationship is typically kept quiet despite their celebrity status. At the same May Pride of Manchester event, Nikki, who occasionally updates the couple’s lives on social media, said coyly: “We are very happy and we are quite private, so I won’t talk about it, but we are very happy. I’m very fortunate because he’s such a wonderful person.
In November, the actress, who previously portrayed sassy Candice Stowe on the cobbles, credited Anthony with boosting her self-assurance and promoting fitness. In her words, “Keeping fit was never really a priority in my twenties or thirties; now I’m training three times a week and can’t get enough of walking.”
Physically and mentally, it is “so underappreciated.” Even if it means circling my home to get the last 10,000 steps in, I aim for 10,000. The fact that my partner is very fit, of course, helps.

The full interview with the couple’s pregnancy journey, including gorgeous exclusive photos, can be found in Notebook magazine, which will be available in Sunday Mirror on January 4.
