Nigeria’s GDP Grew By 3.84% In Q4 Of 2024, Says NBS
Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) had a 3.84% increase in growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2024.  ,
This is in accordance with a GDP report released on Tuesday by the National Bureau of Statistics. The growth rate, according to it, is higher than the 3.4% that was recorded during the third quarter of 2024.
Tuesday’s figure for Q4 of 2024 is also higher than the 3.46% reported in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The Services sector, which increased by 5.37% and contributed 57.38% to the overall GDP, dominated the GDP performance in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to the NBS report.

“The agriculture sector grew by 1.76%, from the growth of 2.10% recorded in the fourth quarter of 2023”, , the report noted.
The industry sector’s growth rate was 2.00%, down from the 3.886% recorded for the fourth quarter of 2023.
The services sector made up more of the GDP in the fourth quarter of 2024 than the previous quarter’s corresponding quarter of 2023, according to statistics.
