Nicola Roberts, the star of Girls Aloud, has had a number of relationships over the years, most recently a troubling stalking case that resulted in a conviction.
Nicola Roberts has announced she’s pregnant. The Girls Aloud star, 40, has kept her personal life relatively private in recent years but last year, confirmed her engagement to footballer Mitch Hahn.
The Sticks + Stones singer took to social media to reveal the news as she made the exciting announcement. She said: “Mitch and I have had the most magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families. We’ve been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring.”
Nicola and Mitch, 36, confirmed their relationship in June 2022, going public while attending Elton John’s British Summertime performance at Hyde Park. During their date night, the couple put on a loved-up display with The Masked Singer star appearing smitten.

Charlie Fennell
Nicola and Charlie had a six-year romantic relationship that lasted for all. However, their romantic relationship ended in late 2013, with Nicola blaming it as the result of their union’s “fizzling out.”
Although the two had always vowed never to leave the spotlight, they were still occasionally seen on dates go out with friends. The couple hadn’t been seen together in public since 2013, which is unfortunate because they hadn’t been together for more than a year.
And a source told The Mirror at the time: “Nicola and Charlie split at the tail end of last year. They just kind of grew apart – they had a great run but they both felt their relationship had come to an end.”
As Nicola said, “I’ve lived with boyfriends before, but it’s never felt like this. We moved into a house in Weybridge, Surrey, together in 2010.”
The couple had two pug dogs together, Ronnie and Reggie, who Nicola referred to as their “substitute sons”.
Nicola has frequently discussed starting a family, saying, “I want lots of them.”
Carl Davies
Davies was present during a brief but unsettling period of Nicola’s romantic history. After their liaison, Davies was found guilty of stalking in 2017. After admitting to stalking the former singer, Carl Davies received a 15-month prison sentence, a two-year suspended sentence, and a lifetime restraining order.
After a number of public spats, Nicola and former soldier Carl Davies first met in 2007. The pair remained friends for a year and a half before calling it quits.
The Girls Aloud singer was the target of a relentless online harassment campaign after their split, where he bombarded her with messages from 35 different social media accounts, including threats to stab and burn her.
After their relationship ended, he spent four years with the pop star. Nicola never responded to any of the messages, but she meticulously documented each one, which she later gave to the police.
In a 2020 interview with The Guardian, she expressed her disappointment at the Crown Prosecution Service’s decision to drop charges against him after he violated his restraining order by following her on Instagram, labelling it as ‘extremely unfair’.
The CPS apologized for its 2018 decision on the grounds that there was little chance of a conviction, but Nicola said it was “too late.”
She told the publication, “I’m extremely fortunate that I ever felt that I had been treated unfairly because I was a woman.” Because I was a woman, I felt genuinely begrudged and felt something very unfair was being done to me. And it was a terrible feeling.
After going through this terrifying experience, Nicola also received trauma therapy to help her overcome the harm she had suffered from her stalker.
In a shocking turn of events in 2021, Carl was sentenced to two years and eight months behind bars after confessing to sending death threats to former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin and making rape threats against her 19 year old daughter.
Mitch Hahn
When Nicola and Mitch Hahn made an appearance at Elton John’s BST gig in Hyde Park in June 2022, Nicola confirmed their romance.
The pop star put on a cozy display together while her accountant and semi-professional footballer beau were both in love.
Mitch is a player for the Essex team, Grays Athletic, and has also led the Great Britain team at the European Maccabi Games in Israel.
Nicola chose to keep their relationship a secret, and she chose to keep it that way when she opted to not post any photos of them together on her Instagram. On Saturday, she was spotted flaunting a massive diamond ring at Brighton Pride.
Nicole has found her soul mate in Mitch, according to an insider who spoke to The Sun. She couldn’t be happier.
