In light of the Beckham family’s rift, sources have reported today that Nicola Peltz’s relationship with Brooklyn Beckham and her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Anwar Hadid are similar.
Friends of the Beckhams have pointed out stark similarities between Nicola Peltz’s relationship with Brooklyn to that with ex Anwar Hadid.
Anwar’s sister, Alana, waded into the Beckham family row yesterday, branding Nicola “a fame hungry liar”, following Brooklyn’s plea for privacy following the public fallout. Anwar, a model, had dated Nicola between 2016 and 2018 — but it appears his older sister is no fan of the 31-year-old actress.
One insider described Nicola’s difficult relationship with Anwar’s mother Yolanda, while another close to the two families provided further information today. Yolanda, 62, is alleged to have felt relief when Anwar, her only son, split up with Nicola.
According to a source close to the Hadid family, “They feared that he was struggling by dating a woman who was older than him at such a difficult time in his life.” Yolanda was relieved when it was all over, despite the harsh words. The entire relationship caused Por Anwar to be a little disjointed.

Tensions have seemingly grown between Nicola and her current mother-in-law Lady Victoria Beckham amid the public fallout. However, Brooklyn, aged 26, has accused his family of trying to “ruin” his relationship with the socialite, whom he married in 2022.
However, the dynamic appeared to be rosy, just as it did when Nicola dated Anwar, who was also five years her junior. Nicola once referred to Anwar as an “angel.” He is such a wonderful person. He comes from a wonderful family. The sisters of Anwar, Gigi and Bella, are so, so sweet. I simply adore his family. They are strong, feminine girls. It’s amazing to have that close by.
But the three Hadid women reportedly grew to “dislike” Nicola, and Yolanda reportedly tried to stage an “intervention” to make him “see sense”. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source continued: “Anwar’s mother and sisters were worried he was becoming increasingly unhappy in his relationship and they were keen for him to get out of it quickly,’ says a source close to the Hadids. The age difference bothered them, and so did Nicola’s strong personality. It had started so well but they later began to no longer think the relationship was the best idea for Anwar.”
According to reports, the Beckhams also referred to Nicola as being “controlling,” a woman who was born in New York. However, it is believed that Lady Victoria, 51, who was separated from her oldest son through the knowledge that Yolanda had gone through a similar agonizing experience, has found hope.
