Anwar Hadid’s sister has launched a scathing attack on Nicola Peltz

The sister of Nicola Peltz boyfriend before Brooklyn Beckham has launched a blistering attack on the socialite turned actress.

Nicola dated Anwar Hadid before falling for David and Victoria’s eldest son, and it appears Anwar’s sister is no fan of the star. Anwar, 40, is the sister to supermodels Bella and Gigi. Anwar dated Nicola between 2016 and 2018.

Anwar has now mocked Brooklyn’s plea for privacy for himself and Nicola in his bombshell Instagram post, claiming Nicola has been desperate to be famous for years.

As Brooklyn called for the world to leave him alone, Alana replied to photographer Eli Rezkallah’s comment reading: “Ending an eight paragraph rant about his family’s dirty laundry with ‘all we want is privacy’ is all I need to know’.

Alana, whose entire family are said to have had issues with Nicola both during their romance, replied to Eli: “Right and that girl doesn’t want privacy she’s been trying to be famous for a decade.”

In history repeating itself, Anwar reportedly stopped talking to his family while he was dating the star.

Like with Brooklyn, the couple shared an age gap, dating when Nicola was 22 and Anwar was 17. Nicola also placed Anwar firmly in the folds of her tight-knit family, as he was pictured on the red carpet of awards ceremonies with her and bother Will.

There were rumours at the time that Anwar had grown distant from his famous family.

A Tweet claimed: “Brooklyn Beckham’s wife previously dated Anwar Hadid, and he also stopped talking to his parents. Yolanda [Anwar’s mum] snapped back: “Not on my watch.'”

Yolanda is said to have reached out to David and Victoria after hearing they’d be cut off by Brooklyn to offer her support. The Mirror reported that the Real Housewives star had become an unliekly ally after reaching out to Victoria on social media.

Matriarch Yolanda is understood to have had a strained relationship with Nicola after she dated her son Anwar, for 18 months. The 61-year-old was said to be upset at the age difference between Nicola, who was 22, and Anwar, 18. Nicola later unfollowed all the Hadid family after they split up.

Gigi and Bella have previously walked Victoria’s catwalk show for Paris Fashion Week, in 2022, with the sisters posing up backstage with Victoria’s daughter Harper.

Nicola and Anwar’s brief romance came while she was carving a career out as an actress. In one interview she said of Anwar: ‘Honestly, he is an angel. He’s such an amazing person. He comes from such an amazing family. Gigi and Bella are so, so sweet. I just love his family so much. They’re feminine, strong girls. To have that around is amazing.”

Sources close to Nicola insisted there was no bad blood between her and the Hadids and that her unfollowing them was a natural thing to do when a relationship ends.

Anwar and Brooklyn are not Nicola’s only famous exes having reportedly dated her co-star Brenton Thwaites in 2014, Cameron Fuller in 2015 and LANY frontman Paul between 2018 and 2019. It has also been claimed that she enjoyed a string of dates with pop star Justin Bieber.

In his Instagram post this week, Brooklyn accused his parents of trying to come between himself and Nicola. He said they had ruined their lives and their wedding as he announced he was cutting them off for good.

He wrote: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.

“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

While some people have supported Brooklyn after his statement, others lie comedian Katherine Ryan have been heavily critical.

Speaking on her own Telling Everybody Everything podcast, she said: “I am on David and Victoria’s side. As a parent, and as someone who has been a s***** young person, I think Brooklyn Beckham needs to grow up a little bit.

“He is the first son of an absolute dynasty family, they are like a royal family in matching denims to us – and that comes with many privileges.

“But of course it’s complicated because you live your life in the public eye. fine, but I feel that he has benefited from this a lot and he doesn’t seem to have the measured emotional intelligence to go, ‘In many ways, this has been s***, but in many ways, this has created me with a beautiful life. My parents are not abusers. My parents performatively or otherwise say nice things about me and give me opportunities’.

“I do think a lot of nepo babies struggle with not being able to reach – certainly not eclipse – the success of their parents.

“I’m not seeing any of the gratitude in these posts.”
