After his contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal expired, the 33-year-old returned to the Brazilian club on a six-month deal in January.
In 243 Santos appearances, Neymar has scored 141 goals and contributed 69 assists.
Prior to the end of the Brazilian Serie A season, the former Paris St.Germain and Barcelona forward had been linked with a return to Europe and had an option to extend.
Neymar remarked, “I made a decision and I listened to my heart.”

Lyon has the ability to challenge the decision. Reims, who lost to Metz in the relegation play-off, will take Lyon’s place in the top flight if things go as planned.
