Kelly Osbourne: ‘Person I was before dad Ozzy died doesn’t exist, I’ll never be same’

Kelly Osbourne, the Black Sabbath legend, passed away in July at the age of 76, has spoken about her family’s plans for their first Christmas without their father, Ozzy.

Kelly Osbourne says Christmas will “never be the same” for her again, following the death of her “magical” father Ozzy. The 41-year-old – whose son Sidney was expected to be a mascot at Aston Villa ’s Premier League game today – admitted that the family including mum Sharon are planning to honour the rock star on December 25.

She joked how the day always held good memories not least as Ozzy “tried to ruin Xmas every year because he was Scrooge”. Ozzy died just on July 22, aged 76, only a short time after a homecoming charity concert with his band Black Sabbath at Villa Park, a stone’s throw from his childhood home in Aston, Birmingham.

The rock star had been living with Parkinson’s as well as numerous health issues dating back to a life-threatening quad bike accident in 2003 in which he broke his neck. Speaking at the launch of Juliet Sear’s new signature bakeware collection at Fortnum & Mason in London, about facing the family’s first Christmas without Ozzy, Kelly said: ‘Christmas will never be the same….I will never be the same. The person I was before he died does not exist anymore. It changes you. He (Ozzy) was magical. There is no one like him.’

Kelly will spend the day with her mother in England, where her older brother Louis and his family are also cousins, but not sister Aimee or younger brother Jack, who are both in LA. The TV personality revealed that she will hand over her brother Louis, who is currently cooking, with her chef’s apron and spoon.

According to Kelly, “He’s the head chef because he’s the best at cooking.” I’m not saying where, but we’re having a big turkey right now, and then the following day, we’re going to a fancy restaurant somewhere! Where there are flowers and celebrations continue.

She reveals that Ozzy’s culinary abilities were passed down to Louis, his eldest child: “I believe it came from my dad because my dad used to cook constantly.

“Shepherd’s Pie” also chips . The best chips you’ve ever had in a lifetime.

“But Louis is a fantastic cook and I’m like through all of this, me and him, he’s been my pillar and he’s just the best human in the world. I have the best brothers in the world.”

Kelly claimed that her father was unable to cook on Christmas Day because he was in the kitchen. She laughs, “Well, there was a reason my dad used to keep the drugs in the oven because no one would ever look at him.” “He used to keep his belongings in the oven.”

Kelly said he would dress up as Santa Claus, but things didn’t always go according to plan, recalling happy Christmas memories of Ozzy.

“We used to set booby traps because we weren’t sure (it was Santa). We put fishing wire across the room and one time we heard my dad come clattering down and we almost did not get our presents that year, put it that way. We got in so much trouble!”

The family will gather around the table to share their favorite stories and memories of Ozzy on Christmas Day. An emotional Kelly cried, “I never want my son to forget his Pappa.” Because I don’t think he’s truly gone, I don’t know how special he was or is.

My son was so excited when Santa arrived at the house yesterday. He couldn’t believe it, and he joined him in dancing and singing, which is one of the most extraordinary things to happen in history, and it made everyone so happy.

On what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday, Ozzy was posthumously presented with the Birmingham Lord Mayor’s Award. It was both collected for him by Kelly and Sharon.

Sharon “takes things,” Kelly says, “one day at a time.” She is doing incredibly well. She is, in fact, a real “she.”

But now that Ozzy has been laid to rest, Sharon will never leave the United Kingdom. Because I can’t leave my dad, I stay where my mother is. Right now, my son attends school here.

“Home will always be Britain. This is where we are from. I go between here and my farm in Iowa in the Midwest. Never thought I’d become a Midwestern girl. I’m going back just after Christmas for New Year. I miss my cows and my chickens and my ducks. That will be healing for me.”

West Ham set to appoint Guarino as manager

Following Rehanne Skinner’s dismissal, West Ham are set to appoint Rita Guarino as their women’s team manager.

The Italian, who has yet to prove herself outside of Italy, has won 99 caps for her country as a player.

She previously helped Juventus win four successive Serie A titles, most recently leading Inter Milan between 2021 and 2024.

The 54-year-old has worked with youth teams since starting out as a head coach and assistant for Italy’s under-17s.

West Ham fired Skinner on Thursday after only one of their 11 Women’s Super League games this year.

Before the winter break, West Ham allegedly had been monitoring Guarino’s availability in order to appoint her.

West Ham will see Guarino’s arrival as a bold move because she is relatively unknown in England.

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, Barcelona’s wingers, scored 2-0 victory over Villarreal on Sunday to move them four points clear of La Liga.

Before half-time for a late lunge on Yamal, Villarreal’s Renato Veiga was sent off for a late penalty that the Brazilian international Raphinha won and converted.

As Hansi Flick’s side restored their lead over Real Madrid, second, and won their eighth consecutive league game, the 18-year-old slotted home Barca’s second midway through the second half.

After winning 3-0 at Girona earlier in the match, Atletico Madrid moved ahead of Villarreal to finish fourth.

Frenkie de Jong, a midfielder for Barca, told DAZN, “We’re happy because we finished the year as leaders, which was our goal, and we can now rest.”

In the end, I believe we were superior, and I wouldn’t say comfortable, but I believe it was a deserved win because Villarreal’s fast players can break quickly and we must do better to do that.

After being excluded from FIFA’s “Best” team of the year earlier in the week, Flick launched into an emotional defense of Raphinha on Saturday, prompting the winger’s remorsel against his coach.

After La Liga’s plans to bring this game to the United States were scrapped in October, Raphinha produced an all-action display at Villarreal’s Estadio de la Ceramica, where the match was played instead of Miami.

Barca struggled in their build-up play and struggled defensively, but Raphinha and Yamal’s wingers Raphinha and Yamal’s outstanding performance and their goalkeeper Joan Garcia’s outstanding performance made the game entertaining.

Ayoze Perez’s shot was blocked by Jules Kounde, who then turned the ball over to Raphinha, who then netted a penalty.

In the 12th minute, the winger confidently won it and almost added the second with a superb effort that crashed back off the bar.

Villarreal fought back when Kounde deflected a cross into his own net, but offside in the build-up prevented the goal.

After Villarreal’s mistake made it almost level, Barca stopper Garcia saved Tajon Buchanan.

Veiga’s needless red card for a late, ugly lunge on Yamal before the break made the visitors’ job easier.

After a frantic exchange in the box, Yamal scored after 63 minutes to give the champions their second goal.

In their final three games, covering all competitions, Barca finished 2026 with three points and a third clean sheet thanks to Joan Garcia’s stunning saves against Rafa Marin and Georges Mikautadze.

After Andreas Christensen’s diagnosis with a partially torn knee ligament, Kounde suffered a foot injury before the final whistle, which could add to Flick’s back issues.

Barca come into the year better than Real Madrid, who defeated Sevilla 2-0 on Saturday, but still have a lot of issues to worry about.

“We’re doing well, on a good path, we’re leaders, we’re alive in (the other competitions),” De Jong continued. “Now is not the time they’re giving out the trophies.

Villarreal fell to Barca in their first league game away from home all season, but they now trail them by 11 points.

Before taking a vacation, Villarreal midfielder Dani Parejo said, “We’re hurt by the outcome, our first home defeat.”

However, “We are proud and satisfied with the team’s work, for how we set up this game… We had so many chances to come away with a half-win.”

Will Trump’s ‘imperfect plan’ for ending the Ukraine war work?

As US mediation considers the priorities of Russia, some European leaders feel left-handed.

The Trump administration is now pushing to end Europe’s war, quickly and imperfectly, after years of American support for the Ukraine conflict continuing “as long as it takes.”

Details are still being discussed, including ensuring Ukraine never joins NATO and ensuring that about 20% of Ukraine is under Russian control.
