Kate Cassidy got emotional as she opened up to her followers online while talking about grief. Kate has been open about her struggles since the death of boyfriend Liam Payne last October.

The former One Direction star tragically plunged to his death in a hotel in Buenos Aires. He had been in the country with Kate just days before his death, but Kate had headed back to the US when the tragedy occurred.

Now, as she continues to try to come to terms with his passing, Kate shared a candid Instagram upload to try to help others deal with grief. She revealed she is often asked on the social media platform about Liam’s death and how she copes with his loss.

And she decided to answer a number of the queries, getting emotional when she mentioned the singer’s name. She began by saying she was hoping to help others deal with their grief by sharing her thoughts.

She said grief feels like “a world that you wake up in and it doesn’t make any sense anymore, especially when you lose somebody so suddenly and unexpectedly you almost have such a hard time forgiving the world for ripping that person away from you.”

She went on to say she sometimes feels “numb,” while other times it can be emotional. And she admitted she feels as though her personal grief will last a “lifetime”. “Grief does not come with an expiration date,” she added. “It’s not something you learn to get over, it’s something you learn to carry with”.

Responding to a question regarding grieving in the right way, Kate said: “This question resonates with me a lot because there is no handbook or no guidelines to grief. Everybody deals with it a different way.”

She opened up on her own daily changes, admitting she often feels like different ways can help her. That includes “being in sweats” or “dressing up”.

Kate went on to urge people not to judge those who grieve differently. And she admitted she copes in a number of ways, including by “wearing my loved ones’ clothes to bed”.

She also said reading old letters and notes can help her. “It makes me feel so much more attached to him. Reading something in somebody’s handwriting makes you hear their voice in your head while you’re reading it so that helps me a lot.

“And looking through old photos and videos. It doesn’t always have to be sad. Grief is a reminder that you were able to experience love.”

As she tried to continue, Kate clearly got teary-eyed as she stuttered: “And I’m so lucky to have experienced that with um, Liam.”

Liam and Kate met in a scenario straight out of a rom-com, when the then-ordinary waitress served the megastar at a bar in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2022. For Liam, the attraction was immediate, and he asked for her number straight away.

She told fans of their sweet love story as she previously shared a TikTok of the moment. And Liam told his fans he “never felt a love like I do for Katelyn,” adding: “We make each other better people.”

PSG beat Tottenham on penalties to claim UEFA Super Cup

Paris Saint-Germain beat Tottenham 4-3 on penalties to win the UEFA Super Cup, completing a remarkable rally after scoring two late goals to take the match to a shootout.

It secured the fifth trophy of 2025 for the French club.

Lee Kang-in scored in the 85th for PSG, and fellow substitute Goncalo Ramos grabbed an equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time to make it 2-2 in regulation.

Nuno Mendes converted the clinching penalty in the shootout for PSG.

“I am proud. We haven’t [had] much preparation, but you could see that football is not only about the physical aspect – it is also about the mental aspect, being in the right place, having the right tactics,” PSG captain Marquinhos told broadcaster Canal Plus.

“They sat back a lot after going 2-0 up, and it is dangerous to invite PSG to come at you like that.”

The Super Cup is an annual early-season match between the most recent winners of the Champions League (PSG) and Europa League (Tottenham), and it was hardly going to script when the English club took a 2-0 lead early in the second half.

Defenders popped up with Spurs’ goals, with Micky van de Ven showing quick reactions to prod home the opener in the 39th minute after new PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier tipped Joao Palhinha’s shot onto the crossbar.

Chevalier – playing ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who announced Tuesday he was leaving PSG – might have been unlucky with the first goal but was to blame for the second after failing to keep out a header from newly appointed Tottenham captain Cristian Romero in the 48th.

Tottenham is further along in its preparations for the new campaign than PSG, whose players have only just returned to training after being involved in the Club World Cup until mid-July, and looked much sharper at Stadio Friuli.

PSG finished strongly, though, and hit Tottenham with late goals as Lee smashed in a low shot from the edge of the area and Ramos headed home Ousmane Dembele’s right-wing cross.

In the shootout, Vitinha missed PSG’s first attempt, but the French team then converted four in a row. Van de Ven and Mathys Tel failed to score for Tottenham, whose manager, Thomas Frank, was taking charge of his first competitive match with the Premier League team.

Frank took over in the offseason following the firing of Ange Postecoglou, who led Tottenham to its first trophy in 17 years with a victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final in May.

“I think we played a very good game against one of the best teams in the world – maybe the best in this moment in time,” Frank told TNT Sports.

“I think we had them exactly where we wanted them for 80-something minutes until the 2-1 goal. Then, of course, that shifted a little bit the momentum, but there was so much positive.

“I am so proud of the team, the players, the club, the fans. I think there is a lot to be happy with. It is a flip of a coin when you go into a penalty shootout.”

Traitors star Harry Clark has addressed his shock exit from Celebrity SAS despite his army past following reports he was involved in a boozy brawl at this year’s Brit Awards

Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins contestant Harry Clark has broken his silence after he was kicked off the hit Channel 4 show. Despite serving in the army, the Traitors star was given the boot for cheating.

He has admitted he “hated” his time on the tough programme that sees stars put through their paces by ex-army officials. They must carry out a replica of the Special Air Services screening process, which aims to push their mental, emotional and physical strength to the limits.

However, Harry, 24, was caught out by directing staff Billy Billingham and Jason Fox as he performed only 10 burpee exercises rather than the required 20. It comes after Channel 4 breaks silence after Gogglebox couple suddenly dumped from show.

Harry made matters worse by lying about how many he had done. He was meant to complete the set before pulling a switch.

The TV star’s exit from the programme comes following reports Harry had a bust up at the Brit Awards earlier this year with a TikTok star.

According to reports, the reality TV star had a “drunken scuffle” with social media star Moe Osman at the awards ceremony in March.

Speaking for the first time since his SAS axe and the brawl reports, Harry shared how he wanted to show viewers that he’s changed.

Addressing his cheating, he said: “Obviously I was so disheartened and so annoyed, but at the same time in the back of my head I was like, ‘but it’s all right though because I’ve made that switch, I’m here to stay’.

“I did exactly what I would do in the military. And that’s what annoyed me so much because it was like I just hit that switch, but they’d kicked me off for it.

“So it was like, well then how can I prove to you now that I’ve changed?” Harry added to the Sun: “But then at the same time, when I look back on it and I’ve matured a lot now, they’ve probably done me a favour because I know that the next big stage was the interrogation phase.”

Harry admitted he “hated” taking part in the show and thought they “didn’t like” him. He confessed it made him angry at the team and himself as he “wanted to get batter”.

This week, sources have claimed the alleged incident saw Harry retaliate after being “antagonised” by influencer Moe. A source told The Sun that Moe, who is known as Hellacreps online, and Harry clashed at the Brits.

They said: “Harry is clearly really enjoying being able to attend amazing events like the Brits but at the event he and Moe clashed. It got physical. It was a drunken scuffle. There is never a fight at that sort of thing so everyone was really shocked.”

Princess Andre takes subtle double swipe at mum Katie Price with candid confession

Princess Andre has appeared to take subtle swipes at mum Katie Price after the former glamour model criticised producers of her new show, The Princess Diaries

Princess Andre has appeared to take subtle swipes at mum Katie Price as she continues to carve her own showbiz career. In her new documentary series, The Princess Diaries, the teen is showcasing her blossoming career, but the show has opted against airing Katie’s role in her daughter’s life.

Instead, dad Peter Andre is a mainstay in the production, showing his close bond with his eldest daughter. And in the latest edition, Princess, 18, has confessed to the things she will never do that her mum did.

Speaking to the cameras for the ITV show, Princess admitted she would never do glamour modelling like her mum did. The revelation came as Princess took part in a photoshoot to mark her 18th birthday.

As she wore a number of different outfits for the shoot, including a very sheer robe, Princess looked back at her mum’s success in front of the camera. She said her shoot reminded her of her mum Katie, 47, and her campaigns over the years.

However, she admitted: “But obviously she did topless. And I would not do topless.”

She later revealed how she goes to her stepmum for advice. Princess lives with her dad and Emily Andre and their kids and added: “I feel like, if I’m ever in a situation that I don’t want to talk to dad about, I’ll speak to Ems about it.”

It comes after Princess had revealed the impact her mum’s split from Kieran Hayler had on her. Katie, 47, married Kieran, 38, in 2013 but they separated five years later after he cheated on her, including with one of her “best friends”.

After saying she didn’t feel as though she recovered from the split, Kieran has since apologised. He said: “I am as sorry as I can be to Princess witnessing us go through such a horrible separation.

“Leaving them was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.”

Despite the turmoil and apparent swipes, Princess did gush over her friendship with her mum. Addressing rumours of a rift, Princess told Closer ‘there’s no rift’.

The teenager said: “At the end of the day, it’s my show – it’s not really about any of my parents. Mum was actually featured in it, it’s just that I live with my dad. There’s no rift between anyone.”

And on the show, she revealed: “I love her, she’s like my best friend.”

Princess made her modelling debut last year with PrettyLittleThings. She has now moved into the reality TV spectrum in her own light and the influencer is set to make thousands and take after her famous parents by becoming a reality star.

UEFA unfurls Gaza-related plea banner after Palestinian tribute fallout

UEFA has unfurled a banner with the message “Stop Killing Children. Stop Killing Civilians” on the pitch before the Super Cup football match between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham in Udine, Italy, in the wake of heavy fallout over its meek tribute to a Palestinian player killed by Israel.

“The message is loud and clear,” European football’s governing body said in a post on X om Wednesday.  “A banner. A call.”

Nine children refugees from Palestine, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Iraq carried the banner onto the field of play before the game began.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah last week criticised a UEFA tribute to the late Suleiman al-Obeid, known as the “Palestinian Pele”, after European football’s governing body failed to reference the circumstances surrounding his killing.

The Palestine Football Association said al-Obeid, 41, was killed by an Israeli attack on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a brief post on X, UEFA called the former national team member “a talent who gave hope to countless children, even in the darkest of times”.

Salah responded, “Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?”

Speaking to Al Jazeera last week, Bassil Mikdadi, the founder of Football Palestine, said he did not expect the football body to respond to the criticism.

“UEFA have not issued a follow-up, and frankly, I’d be surprised if they do,” he said, citing the “complete silence” of football and players’ bodies since the start of the war on Gaza.

Even UEFA’s tribute to al-Obeid “was a bit of a surprise”, Mikdadi said.

“Suleiman al-Obeid is not the first Palestinian footballer to perish in this genocide – there’s been over 400 – but he’s by far the most prominent as of now.”

Salah, one of the Premier League’s biggest stars, has advocated for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza during the nearly two-year-long war.

But some responding to Salah’s post asked why it had taken the 33-year-old Egyptian so long to weigh in on Israel’s genocidal war.

The banner move came a day after the UEFA Foundation for Children announced its latest initiative to help children affected by war in different parts of the world – a partnership with Medecins du Monde, Doctors Without Borders (known by its French initials MSF), and Handicap International.

They are charities “providing vital humanitarian help for the children of Gaza,” UEFA said in a news release on Tuesday.
