A documentary about the late Princess Diana is said to be on a lengthy list of potential shows that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could work on with Netflix. The speculation comes following an update on their partnership this month.

It was announced just last week that Archewell Productions, the production company founded by Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan, 44, had extended its creative partnership with the streaming platform. It was revealed that there’s a “multi-year, first look deal for all its film and television projects”.

Several upcoming projects were confirmed at the time, like an adaptation of a romance novel and a documentary short. It was additionally teased that Archewell Productions is “in active development on additional projects” with Netflix.

According to the Sun, the possibility of Prince Harry being involved in future content about Princess Diana has been discussed. The outlet suggests that the potential project would mark 30 years since his late mother’s death in 1997.

It reports that Prince Harry is considering a documentary on Princess Diana to coincide with the 30th anniversary of her death, which will be in 2027. A source said: “If Harry wants to do it then Netflix will bite his hand off.”

There’s speculation that he could work on a project about her elsewhere too. The Sun reports that it understands that Prince Harry could also “feature or contribute” to a project about Princess Diana away from Netflix.

Archewell Productions first collaborated with Netflix in 2020. Since then, the production company and the streaming platform have released content together like the docuseries Harry & Meghan, which came out in 2022.

Megan recently expressed pride over the news that the couple’s production company, which they founded in 2020, had extended its partnership with Netflix. She spoke about the relationship in a statement issued earlier this month.

She said: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand. My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”

Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajaria said: “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself – Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series.

“More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”

It was revealed that upcoming projects include the second season of With Love, Meghan. The first season, which had eight episodes and launched earlier this year, saw Megan share cooking, gardening and hosting tips. The new season is set to debut on Netflix next Tuesday on August 26.

Djokovic calls for further rise in Grand Slam prize money

Novak Djokovic believes that the prize money offered to players at the four Grand Slams has room for improvement.

The top 20 men’s and women’s players signed a letter asking for a larger share of the profits from the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open, which has become a contentious issue this year.

The US Open will receive a 20% increase in prize money, according to the US Tennis Association, which is claimed to be the largest purse in tennis history, totaling $90 million (£67.4 million).

When asked if the increase reflects what players had in mind, Djokovic, 38, responded, “Look, it’s a step in the right direction.

Evidently, it’s always nice and encouraging to see that Grand Slams are willing to raise overall the players’ stakes in terms of prize money.

Djokovic stated that he doesn’t want to see ranking players who rely on Grand Slams but rather that they should.

People used to say, “Well, look at him, looking for more money for himself,” when I spoke about this subject. The 24-time Grand Slam champion asserted, “It’s not about that.”

“I’m just talking about overall,” I said. Worldwide, there aren’t many tennis players who play the sport. That is not something that has been discussed enough, in my opinion.

We live in a very commercialized world, and that’s another thing. Both the sports and entertainment industries are very large.

“And they are doing very well as well for Grand Slams,” she continues. The prize money increased as a result of the US Open. Other slams are also involved. However, they also generate more money than they did last year.

The inflation portion is another topic entirely, but it’s important to keep in mind when talking about these things.

It’s undoubtedly a positive step overall.

The Professional Tennis Players’ Association (PTPA) filed a lawsuit against the governing bodies of tennis earlier this year, citing “anti-competitive practices and a flagrant disregard for player welfare.”

The players’ group filed a lawsuit seeking financial compensation from the ATP, the WTA, the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), as well as what it called “monopolistic control” of the tennis tour.

In the lawsuit, Djokovic later stated that “there are things I don’t agree with, and there are also things I don’t agree with.”

Betfred Super League

St. Helens (8) 16

Trys: Knowles; Bye; Feldt (4)

Hull FC (6) 10

Morgan Knowles and Moses Mbye’s successful tries helped St. Helens defeat Hull FC and move into second place in the Super League.

After seven minutes, Knowles’ run from halfway gave them the lead, and Kyle Feldt’s kick put them 8-0 up.

However, Hull were only 8-6 at the break when Davy Litten seized on a loose ball to score.

With Hull back in sixth place, Saints moved their 10th straight home win over the Black and Whites, placing them second in the points standings with Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors, who both have 32 points but still have a game in hand.

Less than five minutes into the game, Jed Cartwright from Hull was forced off with an injury, and St. Helens won thanks to Knowles’ burst through Jordan Rapana’s tackle halfway to beat Zak Hardaker to the line.

After the video referee ruled out Matt Whitley’s try for a knock-on in the build-up, Mbye then took a break, was tackled high, and Feldt kicked the penalty to make it 8-0.

After the break, Feldt landed his own attempt to make Saints 10-6 before Hardaker missed a penalty that would have brought the game level.

The hosts then took control, and Jack Welsby’s last tackle, which they ran, was perfect, breaking the defense and scoring Mbye’s first try of the season.

Eight minutes later, Aidan Sezer’s flawless pass sent Martin into the left corner, and both teams were in a close second.

Paul Wellens, the head coach of St. Helens, told BBC Radio Merseyside:

With what we have coming up, we’ve had some fun and scored some fantastic tries. However, I felt we needed a game like tonight.

It’s difficult to find points against Hull because they are a really gritty team. They fight well and are very good at defending one another.

“But we’ve already won a tight game where we put too much pressure on ourselves at times.”

John Cartwright, the coach of Hull FC, told BBC Radio Humberside:

“Physically, I thought they weighed a little more than we did, and we struggled to leave our own end,” she said.

We were confident at half-time, and sometimes you deserve a little luck when you play that bravely, but tonight wasn’t.

Welsb, Feldt, Robinson, Percival, Dagnall, Sailor, Mbye, Walmsley, Clark, Lees, Sironen, Whitley, Knowles, and others.

Lomax, Batchelor, Paasi, and Delaney exchange.

Hull FC features Carleton, Cartwright, Lane, Cartwright, Cartwright, Lane, and Fash. Hardaker, Barron, Briscoe, Litten, Martin, Rapana, Sezer, Ese’ese, Bourouh, Aydin, and

Chamberlain, Cust, Ashworth, and Laidlaw are the exchanges.

‘They couldn’t get a dog sitter’ – Jones calls home after reaching US Open

US Open 2025

Dates: August 24 through September 7 in Flushing Meadows, New York

Francesca Jones retrieved her phone from her racquet bag less than a minute after the first time the US Open main draw had taken place.

Adele and Simon, the 24-year-old Briton’s parents, are currently living in the UK.

Why did they not visit New York to watch their daughter? because they were unable to find a dog sitter.

Jones’ immediate reaction to beating Dutch rival Arianne Hartono was similar to the excitement of completing three rounds of qualifying.

After securing her spot in the main draw in New York, Jones said, “My parents don’t get to travel with me everywhere. I made sure I can share those moments with them as soon as possible.”

Given how much they’ve made sacrifices to give me opportunities, I want them to feel as part of it as much as possible.

They are not here because there is no available dog sitter. “The dogs come first!”

After winning the match with an ace, Jones covered her face in joy and ran over to the courtside players.

Jones has three fingers and a thumb on each hand, three toes on her right foot, and four toes on her left because of a genetic condition.

The Yorkshire-born tennis player was told by doctors to give up on professional tennis, but she fought the odds after relocating to Spain as a teenager.

Many Britons didn’t know how to use her clay, so her entry into the US Open main draw was typically unorthodox.

After just slipping short of the automatic entry deadline, Jones was the top seed in the women’s qualifying draw.

She has since won back-to-back titles on the WTA 125 tour, which is the rung below the main tour, to become the first woman to reach the top 100 for the first time.

The successful run was fueled by a painful Wimbledon exit.

Before falling to Ukraine’s Yulia Starodubtseva, Jones, who has never won a main-draw Grand Slam match, won 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.

She chose to return to match action right away, winning the 125 events in France and Italy rather than wallowing in self-pity or going to the practice courts.

The Bradford-born Jones added, “Woodlocked was extremely hurtful and previously I’ve not handled those situations well.”

However, how you go about backing up that claim is up to you. I’ve taken some time to recover from it before, but this year I needed to use my maturity and experience to be effective.

“I kept my guns and chose what I thought would be best for my career.”

The women’s singles main draw begins on Sunday, with Jones joining fellow Britons Emma Raducanu, Katie Boulter, and Sonay Kartal.

When the qualifiers were drawn, Jones might have faced German Eva Lys, who she had gotten to know through Raducanu.

When the 2021 champion kicks off the tournament at 11:00 local time (16:00 BST), Raducanu will face Japan’s Ena Shibahara.

Harris outsmarts in the loser category.

British number six Billy Harris fell at the final qualifying round but was still a victor in the main draw anyway.

Coleman Wong, a 30-year-old Englishman, defeated him 6-3, 6-4, before joining Jack Draper, Cameron Norrie, and Jacob Fearnley as Britain’s men’s singles representatives.

Felix Auger-Aliassime, the 25th seed from Canada, will face Harris, who has never previously qualified for the US Open main draw.

A player chosen to replace someone who leaves the tournament after the qualifying round has begun is a lucky loser.

This week, France’s Arthur Fils, Japan’s Kei Nishikori, and Australia’s Nick Kyrgios all pulled out of the main draw.

After facing a qualifier or lucky loser, world number five Draper, who reached the semi-finals last year, has found his opening opponent.
