Temitope Temokun, a human rights lawyer, described how ten police officers “forcefully whisked” activist Omoyele Sowore from the Kuje Magistrate Court on Friday.

Temokun described the incident as “unnecessary and premeditated” in an exclusive interview with Channels Television’s Inside Sources on Sunday, adding that he had made violent arrest attempts.

The officers “treated those who attempted to capture the scene brutally.” He claimed that I was also assaulted and injured.

Within 30 minutes of the magistrate’s ruling, Sowore and other defendants’ bail conditions were met, but officers stormed the premises and “bundled him into a car” according to him.

Temokun criticized the police, alleging that they were unable to transfer Sowore to Kuje Prison. The Kuje authorities initially rejected him, he said, “but they tried to disguise the situation and patch it up.”

Prior to the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest, Sowore was given a $ 50.000 bail with two sureties, along with other defendants. He was arrested on Monday, October 27, 2025, despite the conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on that day.

In Naqoura, in the southern Tyre province of Naqoura, two of the victims passed away, while the third passed away in the eastern Baalbek region.

A Syrian national was among the victims, according to the Baalbek town of al-Hafir, according to the Health Ministry.

Hezbollah members were targeted by the Israeli military, according to the statement.

It claimed Ali Hussein al-Mousawi’s death in eastern Lebanon in a statement.

According to the Israeli army, Al-Mousawi “purchased and transferred weapons from Syria to Lebanon” and “significantly contributed to the re-establishment and strengthening of Hezbollah.”

In addition, the Naquoura strike claimed the life of local Hezbollah representative Abed Mahmoud al-Sayed from the village of Ras Biyada.

Hezbollah’s assertions regarding the alleged deaths were unconfirmed.

We don’t ask for anyone’s consent, they say.

11 months after Israel and Hezbollah’s conflict was ended by a ceasefire, the latest deaths occur.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Sunday that despite agreeing to ceasefires in both Lebanon and Gaza, his country would not seek approval for them.

Israel is a sovereign state. Netanyahu told government ministers, “We will defend ourselves by our own means and we will continue to decide our fate.”

“We don’t want this to get anyone’s vote.” He continued, “We control our security.”

His remarks came just before an Israeli drone was dropped close to one of its patrols on Sunday afternoon near Kfar Kila by the United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which has been operating in southern Lebanon since 1978.

UNIFIL reported that an Israeli tank then fired a shot, but neither the tank’s personnel nor its assets were hurt.

UNIFIL stated in a statement on X that Israel’s attacks “infringed on Security Council Resolution 1701 and Lebanon’s sovereignty” and show disregard for the safety and security of peacekeepers carrying out Security Council mandated tasks in southern Lebanon.

A group of UN experts expressed concern over Israel’s continued attacks in Lebanon last week.

According to them, “These attacks have caused an increasing number of civilian casualties, injuries, destruction, and damage to infrastructure, housing, the environment, and agricultural areas, which are essential to civilian livelihoods.”

Tompolo Denies Issuing Ultimatum To FG Over Nnamdi Kanu

The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, is known as Tompolo, but he has refuted reports that are out there saying he gave the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in its place.

Tompolo claimed in a statement signed by his media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, that the publication was untrue and mischievous, and that he had no affiliation with the Nnamdi Kanu controversy or any other related issues.

“We firmly assert that High Chief Ekpemupolo did not write the article or approve it.” Detractors are trying to discredit him because of his firm opposition to illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region. Tompolo continues to work hard to stop oil theft and pipeline vandalism, as these individuals have failed and will fail,” the statement reads in part.

Emma Finucane of Great Britain won the silver medal at the Chilean Track Cycling World Championships after falling short of the sprint champion.

Finucane, 22, made it to the sprint event’s quarter-finals on Friday, but the two-time defending champion missed out on a spot in the semi-finals due to an error.

The three-time Olympian champion put that resentment to rest as she came in second place in the keirin behind Mina Sato from Japan.

Finucane remarked, “I’m really proud.”

I think bouncing back and doing four rides that I didn’t think I could do even six months ago, I’ve grown so much and we’ll keep working on it, even though I was really gutted after the sprint.

From this World Championships, I can take a lot. They claim that winning things is sweet, but that is only the case when it is sour.

“I have so much more growth to do now than in the first year of the cycle.”

Finucane, who won three medals at the same Olympics in 2024 as the first British woman since 1964, has yet to win a significant gold in the keirin.

Morris begins Sunday’s silver medal haul with a win.

Anna Morris won her third medal of the Championships earlier today with a flawless final sprint in the women’s points race.

Morris won gold and bronze in the team pursuit, a further improvement over her individual pursuits.

“I’m really, really happy,” she declared. I didn’t know when it finished, because I believed it was in the top five when my coach said I was in second place,” Morris said.

“Overall, it has been a strong week.”

Matt Richardson, who resisted Australia’s switch to Great Britain last year, also won a silver medal on the final day after falling short of Dutchman Harrie Lavreysen in the men’s sprint final.

Lavreysen won the first race by 0. 0494 seconds, and Richardson won the second to claim his seventh-straight world championship gold.

Mark Stewart and Josh Tarling placed second in the men’s madison, eight points clear of the champions, behind Belgian duo Lindsay de Vylder and Fabio van den Bossche, in the 200-lap race.

That increased Great Britain’s medal total to 14 — including four gold, eight silver, and two bronze — but they finished second overall behind the Netherlands.

Sir Jason Kenny, the GB sprint coach and seven-time Olympian, said: “We’ve missed some medals that we thought we could have competed for, but we’ve come away with a really good haul with some new medallists, so it’s really exciting.”

It’s really encouraging that we were competitive across the board because we were on the podium more than ever.

Noel and Liam Gallagher eyeing up Oscars success with Oasis reunion movie

https://i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk/incoming/article36136683.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/0_Oasis-In-Concert-New-York.jpg

After decades of feuding with one another, Liam and Noel Gallagher allegedly filmed the entire thing before starting their comeback Oasis tour earlier this year.

With their latest concert movie, Noel and Liam Gallagher are said to be aiming for Oscar success. After decades of disagreements between the brothers, the brothers decided to make their Oasis reunion tour earlier this year.

However, it appears that the pair are now hoping to win an Oscar or a BAFTA as they begin making movies. Behind-the-scenes footage from their reunion tour will be included in a film that will be made available.

The documentary, which will feature Noel and Liam’s first reunion with Magna Studios, will be shown in the video. According to reports, the brothers believe they have a chance of winning the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature Film and the Baftas equivalent.

The film’s release date is unknown, but it would need to be released by March of next year to qualify for the 2027 Oscars.

According to a source, “This movie has captured music history and the footage is incredible. The off-screen drama is as good as any blockbuster from Hollywood, covering the steps that led to their reunion.

It is truly dynamite, really. We have never seen the brothers opening up before. For both them and their fans, it will be heartfelt. The studio is currently evaluating the steps necessary for the film to be included in these significant awards.

This comes as Oasis paid a sweet tribute to their guitarist Bonehead after he was forced to pull out of the next leg of their world comeback tour.

The 60-year-old was present for all of the band’s iconic UK gigs, but earlier this month shared the sad news he had been diagnosed with cancer again. It comes three years after he got the all clear from tonsil cancer in 2022.

Bonehead will likely be well enough to reunite with the group when they play significant shows on their upcoming Argentine, Chile, and Brazil dates in Argentina.

By taking a cardboard cut from Bonehead on the road with them, Liam and Noel made sure the guitarist was still on the tour. When Bonehead posted a photo of it on his Instagram account, it appeared to show his approval, with the phrase “Play it loud Amigos.”

The Gallagher brothers addressed Bonehead’s diagnosis in a statement, saying, “We’ll see you back on stage in South America. We wish you all the best with your treatment.”

The band were completely in support of Bonehead, according to a source close to Oasis’ statement to the Mirror. They obviously wanted him to play the tour, but Liam and Noel were equally as clear that his health was important.

He should only miss a few dates because he has played most of the shows. No specific dates have been confirmed, but it’s possible Bonehead will fill in on rhythm guitar for the dates he won’t be able to play.
