Noel and Liam Gallagher have been pictured back working together for the first time in 16 years ahead of their eagerly awaited reunion tour. The formerly warring brothers were seen reuniting, but not in the studios as they began filming a new promo campaign for Adidas.

This summer, the pair will be back on stage in July for the Oasis Live 25 tour which was an instant sell out as millions of fans scrambled for tickets. But this week rather than make music the Gallaghers were all smiles as they were spotted arriving at a working men’s club in Newington Green, London. It’s understood they were shooting promo material for Adidas for a new collaboration between the Gallaghers and the sports brand.

In the past both Liam and Noel have released their own Adidas trainers and at Noel has spoken in the past about being obsessed with their footwear.

Liam, 52, looked in great spirits as he partnered up with his brother, dressed in a signature green parka. The frontman beamed as he rocked a freshly-shaved head. He was spotted fist-bumping security guards as he made his way into the club for the photoshoot.

Speaking on X, Liam told fans reuniting with his big brother for the shoot had been a ‘biblical’ experience. He posted: “It was more a video kind of thing like a mini film and word on the street it was BIBLICAL. I just get in and out I don’t hang around looking at the screen I’ll see it when you cats see it”

He also teased followers that he’s desperate to get back to performing live with Oasis again, “The stage is my safe space it’s where I get a bit of peace n quiet,” he penned.

Noel, 57, gave a brief smile to the cameras as he was pictured heading inside, dressed in a blue adidas jacket, slim-fit jeans and a pair of shades. Liam revealed at the weekend that the pair had spent Easter together, as they continue to put their fallout behind them.

After ending their 14-year rift last year, the brothers reunited their two families for the holidays, with Liam describing the day as ‘biblical.’ Over the Easter weekend, Liam revealed that he and Noel spent time together as a family, with Noel bringing along his teenage sons Donovan, 18, and Sonny, 14, round to see their uncle for a visit.

A delighted Liam posted: “So we had a BIBLICAL Easter Sunday Noel Donavan and Sonny popped over to ours for a cup of tea it was absolutely incredible to meet the young guvs.,” adding: “Obviously blew there [sic] minds coz im cool as f**k you heard it here 1st LG x.”

As the Mirror revealed earlier in April the full eagerly awaited Oasis reunion will happen next month – with band rehearsals beginning in May.

Noel has been back in the studio on his own rehearsing songs and working on new material in London. Liam and Noel will meet up with the rest of Oasis next month with a source close to Noel said there was plenty of time for rehearsals yet.

They added: “Noel is often in and out of the studio working on things, he is a singer songwriter so it’s only natural.

“But Liam is a singer and he has a long list of dates ahead of him with Oasis this year so he will not be overdoing rehearsals. After a big solo Definitely Maybe tour your last year, the main thing his voice needs at the moment is rest. He has been relaxing recently and spending time with his mum Peggy.

“The plan is for the band to start meeting up in May. They will jam around and work out a set list and Liam will be the last one to join in with the vocals. There is plenty of time and Liam is a born rock’n’roll star who has lived and breathed these songs and performed a lot of them in his own solo shows so he doesn’t need much practice.

“But the rest of the band do need to rehearse more, especially as there is a new drummer in the mix.”

Liam and Noel Gallagher are bringing in newcomer Joey Waronker on drums alongside more established former Oasis band members on guitars.

The full line up is expected to be Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker.

He is also quizzed to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: “Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock’n’Roll Star.”

She expressed her gratitude to the Royal Brompton Hospital’s staff on social media by saying, “A big humungous THANK YOU.” Keyhole heart surgery occurred a few weeks ago, and the writing process is strange and even stranger when I say it loudly.

“From investigations last year, to diagnosis and then surgery, they were absolutely incredible. As was @mattjwillis who never left my side. Turns out, I’ve been pottering around for 48 years blissfully unaware I had a hole in my heart, isn’t it bonkers what’s happening in our bodies that we have no idea about…”

The doctors, nurses, and surgeons who had supported her over the past year were then praised by Emma.

The miracles of modern medicine and the incredible people who save, repair, and assist us every day blow my mind even more. Can you picture how exhausting it must be to have those hands? They are the true superstar, according to her claim that Dr. Alexander Lyon investigated like a real super sleuth.

‘Very short’ list for England women’s captain, says coach Edwards

Jed Leicester/MCC

There are “very few” candidates to take Heather Knight’s place as captain, according to New England head coach Charlotte Edwards.

In May, England will elect a new skipper for the series against West Indies, likely starting with veteran Knight vice-captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.

Sciver-Brunt, 32, is currently on maternity leave, with a potential return on May 6 when The Blaze take to Essex. The Windies’ series opener against England will take place on May 21.

When asked about appointing a captain, Edwards responded, “We’re very close, it should be very soon.

I’m anticipating that being made public so that things can move forward. And of course, that will be very important given the series that will air in May.

Following a terrible winter, which saw England lose every match to the Ashes and exit the T20 World Cup in the group stage, both Knight and his former head coach Jon Lewis were fired.

Edwards, a legendary former England player, was named Lewis’ replacement earlier this month.

Sciver-Brunt stated in January that she would “love” the chance to become a captain during the Ashes.

At Lord’s, Edwards was addressing the unveiling of a portrait of her in the Long Room. The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) commissions the 45-year-old artist, following fellow England internationals Rachael Heyhoe Flint and Claire Taylor, as the third and final.

Women’s cricket has come a long way, Edwards asserted. It’s really overwhelming to have a portrait of myself with some of the greats. I’m extremely happy that things have advanced. This club is a wonderful place for women to play and have fun.

England’s all-time leading runscorer, Edwards, played more than 300 international games between 1996 and 2016? In Edwards’ 10-year tenure as England’s captain, they won the Ashes three times, as well as the T20 World Cup and the 50-over competition.

Women were still two years away from receiving MCC membership and admission to the Long Room when Edwards first played one-day internationals against South Africa at Lord’s in 1997.

“We were permitted in the changing room, down the stairs, and then by the committee room,” Edwards said.

It was a little unusual, I thought. I didn’t really think anything of it at the time. I was overjoyed by the opportunity to play at Lord’s because I thought it was incredible.

Kogan named preferred choice as chair for football regulator

Images courtesy of Getty

David Kogan, the government’s preferred choice for chair of the new independent regulator for English football, has been chosen as the government’s preferred choice.

Kogan was referred to as the “outstanding candidate” for the position by Lisa Nandy, the secretary of state for culture, media, and sport.

“This will be a crucial public role to ensure reasonable, light-touch regulation helps to strengthen financial viability and put fans back at the center of the game,” Nandy said.

Kogan says he will work with clubs and supporters to create a “dynamic framework” for English football and will now face MPs on the Culture, Media, and Sport committee for “pre-appointment scrutiny.”

Whatever the size of our professional clubs, Kogan remarked. “Our professional clubs are a source of both local and national pride.

They “engender economic growth and investment, unite communities, and provide shared experiences and memories that transcend generations.”

The regulator’s job is to collaborate with those clubs, their owners, and their supporters to create a dynamic framework that will enable the game to continue to prosper and grow. I’m eager to start.

The first independent regulator for the professional men’s game in England will be created by the Football Governance Bill, which is currently passing through Parliament after the Labour government reintroduced it in October.

Kogan, a former BBC journalist and director, helped negotiate the rights to the Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship last year.

Kogan will have the task of resolving a long-standing dispute between the Premier League and the EFL regarding controversial parachute payments to relegated clubs and financial redistribution if he is given one of the most powerful roles in English football.

The fact that he served as the Premier League’s media rights advisor between 1998 and 2015 may cause concern for the EFL. He has also made a number of donations to the party’s candidates and has close ties to the Labour party. He has two books written about them.

Although Premier League officials have long advocated for an independent regulator, Rick Parry, the English Football League chairman, fears that it will have an impact on investment and competitiveness.

Kogan was first approached about the regulator position by a source close to him, according to a source close to Kogan.

However, the appointment of a Labour donor has drawn criticism from the Tory party.

Shadow sports minister Louie French charged the government with “putting one of their key cronies in charge of what ought to be an independent regulator.”

He continued, “This deeply political appointment raises questions about the regulator’s ability to conduct itself with the impartiality that fans deserve.”

The Tories are “smearing a” highly qualified, respected candidate,” according to Labour sources who refute the claim.

Howe thanks doctor for quick intervention over illness

Images courtesy of Getty

Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle, thanked Paul Catterson for responding to his illness two weeks ago by quickly treating him with pneumonia.

The 47-year-old has missed three Magpies games and has been feeling unwell for a while since being admitted to a hospital on April 11.

After spending time in the hospital, he returned to work on Thursday.

He said on Friday that he “possibly could have had a different outcome” without that quick action.

In the weeks leading up to his diagnosis, Howe characterized how he “felt really bad, but I didn’t know how bad” he “felt really bad.”

I’m one of those people who, like most men, sort of goes through everything and doesn’t always say to doctors, “Oh, I’ll be okay in a few days, I’ll fight through it.”

The most crucial aspect of my life is that I’m not entirely in my body, but I like to believe that I’m almost entirely in my mind.

“I’ve gone through a lot of emotions, but I feel like I’m on the verge of recovery.”

Ipswich host Newcastle, who are fifth in the Premier League, on Saturday at St James’ Park.

Howe compared the strain of the illness to his own personal experience, saying he tries to “leave a positive out of every experience.”

He continued, “Your health you take for granted – I certainly do – and it can be very difficult when you don’t have the luxury of feeling normal.”

In Howe’s absence, assistant manager Jason Tindall and fellow coach Graeme Jones won the Premier League twice and one lost.

The Newcastle manager claimed that while away from home, he had “no” involvement with the games.

When I wasn’t feeling well enough to concentrate on the football, he said, “I made a conscious decision to give Jason and the coaches full responsibility.”

You’re either in or out, and I couldn’t contribute, for me. So I immediately said to Jason, “It’s over to you.” And how did he not succeed?
