“She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon. This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well. “

Joan’s infection also comes just months after Ruth herself suffered a health issue and explained to fans that she’d been housebound for days. “I’ve had a couple of days at home with the lurgy but feeling better today so I ventured out for a stroll with Maggie,” the 64-year-old said previously.

Tina, 71, revealed she had delayed a mammogram appointment during the coronavirus pandemic before the tumours were discovered by doctors. Throughout the terrifying ordeal, her two daughters, superstar Beyoncé and Solange Knowles were by Tina’s side, with friends also visiting her in hospital. “I was so nervous.
