Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham showed they were still enjoying the festive period despite the bitter fallout with eldest son Brooklyn, appearing to have no end in sight

Sor David and Lady Victoria Beckham enjoyed a festive family soiree – and appeared to send a clear message to estranged son Brooklyn. While the power couple enjoyed the Christmas season with their loved ones, their eldest son was once again nowhere to be seen.

Posh and Becks posted a clip of the pair dancing closely to Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb’s song Guilty. And the tune has very clear lyrics, staring: “We’ve got nothing to be sorry for.”

Captioning the Instagram post, the former Spice Girls star said: “David and Victoria giving their very best Barry and Barbra on Christmas Day xxx kisses from us both xx @davidbeckham.”

It comes as the duo also shared pictures from their close-knit family Christmas at their Cotswolds home without Brooklyn. Instead, he remained stateside with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

And he shared his own cryptic post to see during the Christmas time. As he shared a close-up of the pair holding hands, he said his wife is “his everything”.

In a clip shared on his Cloud23 hot sauce TikTok account, Brooklyn is seen sauntering through a city with Lady Gaga’s Telephone serving as the soundtrack. Interestingly, he chose the lyric ‘Sorry, I cannot hear you, I’m kinda busy’ to accompany the video, emphasising the line in bold text.

He then segued into promoting his hot sauce. It left followers pondering over the timing and meaning of the post.

He had earlier blocked his family on Instagram. Just last week, his brother Cruz alleged that Brooklyn had blocked all his family members on the social media platform. That included parents David and Lady Victoria. It’s thought he had even shunned his younger sister Harper, aged 14.

His brother Cruz shared the fallout after pouring cold water on claims that it was the parents who had unfollowed their son. Cruz, 20, shared an online news story making the claim and wrote: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”

A source claimed to the Mail: “‘It appears that Brooklyn has blocked them to show them that’s it, this is final. It is very clear that this is a sign of his complete estrangement from his family.”

But despite the ongoing family squabble, Brooklyn’s family appeared to have been offering olive branches recently. It’s thought they had hopes for a reconciliation, with his Christmas stocking seen hanging on the wall alongside those of his brothers and sisters.

But that was not to be this festive period. Instead, the football legend and his wife, Victoria, 51, have maintained a brave front and carried on with the holiday celebrations with their other children. After David was spotted chopping down this year’s Christmas tree, the Beckhams spent Christmas Eve together, with Cruz even whipping up cocktails.

Brooklyn opted to enjoy some light physical activity under the Los Angeles sun and was spotted trying his hand at tennis alongside Reilly. A brief video of the match was posted on both Bradley and Brooklyn’s Instagram Stories.

Israel attacks press as ‘silencing’ policy: Palestinian journalists union

Israel’s systematic campaign of violence against Palestinian journalists since October 2023 has peaked in 2025 with the targeting of dozens of members of the press, the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate says.

In a statement released on Friday, the Freedoms Committee of the syndicate said Israel is implementing a policy of&nbsp, “silencing the press through killing, injury and permanent disability”.

“The Israeli occupation shifted from a policy of restricting journalistic work to a policy of neutralising the press through deadly force, with the aim of silencing witnesses, preventing the documentation of crimes, and undermining the Palestinian narrative on the ground”, the statement said.

By the end of November 2025, at least 76 Palestinian journalists had been killed and wounded by Israel, a figure the committee described as a “dangerous indicator of the escalating targeting policy” pursued by Israeli authorities. “Journalists are no longer merely ‘ potential targets’, but rather confirmed and frequent targets”, the committee said.

Over the past year, Israel killed several journalists in Gaza in targeted assassinations – most notably Al Jazeera’s Anas al-Sharif – falsely claiming that they are members of Hamas.

Press freedom groups have been condemning the Israeli attacks on journalists, but the killings have proceeded with impunity. Israel has never arrested or charged any of its troops for killing journalists.

While the targeting of the press intensified during the genocidal war in Gaza, Israel has killed dozens of Arab journalists over the past two decades, including Al Jazeera’s veteran correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank in 2022.

Muhammad al-Lahham, head of the Committee for Freedoms at the syndicate, said the scale and consistency of the attacks amount to international crimes.

The events of the past year, he said, “constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity, and represent a systematic targeting of a protected group, journalists, within the framework of an official policy to silence the media by force”.

Al-Lahham rejected claims that journalists had been caught accidentally in hostilities, describing instead a deliberate operational logic. What Israel was enforcing, he said, was a “field doctrine based on the principle of ‘ no witnesses, no narrative, no image'”.

In December, a report by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) found that Israel killed more journalists in 2025 than any other country.

Silencing witnesses

The report described 2025 as “a year of repeated mass targeting, particularly in tents, hospitals, and press gatherings”, warning that Palestine had become one of the most dangerous places in the world to practise journalism.

Several Al Jazeera journalists have been among those killed, in some cases alongside members of their families.

In August, Israeli attacks killed al-Sharif and three other Al Jazeera journalists. According to Shireen, they are one of nearly 300 journalists and media professionals who were killed in Gaza over the course of 26 months, or about 12 journalists per month. ps, a monitoring website with the name Abu Akleh.

Beyond fatalities, the committee found a significant rise in life-altering injuries. After amputations to the head, neck, chest, and abdomen, many journalists experienced paralysis, blindness, or paralysis. According to the report, settlers were also at risk, but not just the Israeli army.

Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Noufal, Ibrahim Zaher, and Mohammed Qreiqeh, Al Jazeera journalists killed by Israel earlier this year.

What the committee described as a series of deliberate media massacres occurred in April and May. Nine reporters were hurt and equipment was destroyed when Israeli forces struck a journalists’ tent at Nasser Hospital on April 7 and 8. Many of the victims later passed away from their injuries.

The committee referred to this documented and ongoing incident as “a complex war crime and a collective targeting of the press” as it took place and involved the use of heavy weapons.

Patterns of permanent disability were beginning to appear in mid-2025. Muhammad Fayeq was paralyzed, Jamal Badah had his leg amputated, and Akram Dalloul lost his sight.

The committee made it clear that most attacks took place when journalists were easily identified, in public places, and while working in locations that had long been viewed as media gathering points. It added that many people were repeatedly targeted, underscoring Israel’s ongoing assault on the Palestinian press.

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh shared an adorable gender reveal on Boxing Day, announcing she’s expecting a baby girl in 2026 with EastEnders husband Toby-Alexander Smith

Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh has confirmed the gender of her second child. The actress, known for playing Tracy Metcalfe in the popular ITV drama, revealed back in September that she and EastEnders’ Toby-Alexander Smith were expecting baby number two.

On Boxing Day, the 38-year-old actress took to Instagram with a sweet video captioned: “New addition to the family incoming!” The footage shows Amy and Toby’s little girl, Bonnie, perched on the staircase alongside her male cousins. Text appears asking: “When it’s your last Christmas before becoming a big sister… will I still be the only girl in the family?”

What follows is the couple’s gender reveal moment, captured as a football gets booted and pink powder explodes into the air whilst the family erupts in celebration. The overlay text declares: “Girl power coming in 2026.”

Amy’s fanbase of 194,000 and her Emmerdale colleagues rushed to send their well-wishes following the happy announcement. Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy Wyatt, gushed: “Can not waitttttt x x x” accompanied by heart emojis.

Whilst Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) posted heart emojis and Bradley Riches, who portrays Lewis Barton, contributed three white hearts. Shona McGarty added: “OMG YAAAY!! Congratulations.”

One fan penned: “Bonnie is gonna be amazing big sister to baby girl.” Another typed: “Bonnie’s hair is gorgeous!!! So happy for you another little girlie to add to the boy gang.” Meanwhile, a third penned: “So happy for you both looking forward to seeing your bundle of joy hope you had a brilliant Christmas sending much love to you all.”

The couple tied the knot in Montenegro in September 2023, with family and friends present, after getting engaged in August 2022. They’re already doting parents to daughter Bonnie, who arrived in December 2021.

On Tuesday (September 9), the couple announced that Bonnie would soon be welcoming a younger sibling, sharing their delightful pregnancy announcement.

Amy posted a black-and-white video on Instagram, soundtracked by Nick Drake’s ‘Northern Sky’. In the heartwarming clip, she’s heard saying to Bonnie: “Mummy and daddy have got a special secret to tell you..”

She went on: “Mummy has got a baby in her tummy. A baby sister or brother for you,” whilst the camera revealed a scan photograph being held by Amy, Toby, and Bonnie.

Amy wrote alongside the post: “Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026,” and was immediately flooded with well-wishes. Fellow Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins, who’s also pregnant, wrote: “Gorgeous!! So happy for you.”

Michelle Hardwick added: “So exciting,” whilst Samantha Giles said: “So excited the news is finally out.” Speaking previously, Amy admitted she found it hard to balance time with her family and her work. She explained: “It’s just a juggle, a struggle sometimes … I’ve barely seen him since we got married.

“We do feel like newlyweds, we haven’t been together that long in the grand scheme of things, so our relationship is still quite new and fresh, but then you throw a toddler in the mix and work commitments, and it’s crazy.”

Amy and Toby got together in 2020 after meeting in the audience at Strictly Come Dancing a year before. Speaking about how becoming a parent changed them, Toby told OK! magazine: “We’ve always been a really good team anyway, and I think Bonnie coming along has shown that we’re meant to be parents together, because we’re finding our roles.”

The pair’s love story kicked off in the audience at Strictly, which Amy described as a “twist of fate”. She said: “The twists of fate that came into play to make us meet are crazy. Jamie Laing was supposed to be in it that year but he broke his ankle so Kelvin Fletcher replaced him, and Toby wasn’t even supposed to be in the audience that week.

“It only came out when we spoke to each other and we put two and two together and were like, ‘So you do that and I do that.’ We didn’t even say the words Emmerdale or EastEnders. After the show someone sent me a screenshot of us in the audience and I sent it to my best friend and joked, ‘Me and my future husband,’ just thinking it was going to be a date.”
