When the two Portuguese former sides meet at Anfield on Saturday, Diogo Jota’s sons, former Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers players, will play alongside the mascots.
Before kick-off, Dinis and Duarte, two of Jota’s three children, will serve as the matchday mascots.
Jota, 28, and his 25-year-old brother Andre Silva were killed in a car accident in Spain in July.
After three seasons with Wolves, the Portugal winger left for Liverpool in 2020.
The two teams haven’t met since Jota’s passing in Saturday’s Premier League game at 15:00 GMT.
Reflecting on what has happened over the past 12 months causes a rollercoaster of emotions, but it’s typical at this time of year to reflect on what has happened, Slot said.
“Doing so makes me think of Diogo Jota’s family on their first Christmas without him, especially.”
If that is even possible, I can only hope that Diogo’s constant flow of love and affection will give them some solace. “It is not my place to tell them where to look for comfort.”
Jota helped Liverpool win the FA Cup, League Cup, and title last season with 65 goals in 182 appearances.

You can tell that the highlighter is a must-have if you want something that comes highly recommended because it has also been used on numerous red carpets to create a light-reflecting glow. The Beauty Light Wand can be used to highlight and reflect light, creating Charlotte’s signature “lit from within” glow, on your cheekbones, brow bones, cupids bow, and nose.
The highlighter has a velvety texture that quickly sets on your skin and leaves a light film over your skin, giving it a soft-feel finish, and has an applicator for easier application to specific areas on the end. Additionally, it contains lindera extract, which makes skin appear more hydrated and smooth, and lustrous polymers, which increase luminosity and give a glossy appearance without feeling greasy.
The Laura Mercier Roseglow Liquid Highlighter is also available for sale for less than £30 at Space NK, while Tarte’s Glow TapeTM Liquid Highlighter has a similar formula and feel, but is still full price at £32. Refy’s Gloss Highlighter costs £22 and has a clear formula that adds shine and a dewy finish without being sticky or pigmented. It is more of a gloss than a glow.
However, Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wand has a number of different shades, which are ideal for sprinkling some subtle warmth and color to your makeup look. All skin tones work with gold, peach, or pink-based hues, which can be applied alone or layered over your blusher and bronzer to give them some extra luminosity.

According to Syrian state media reports, an explosion struck a mosque in Syria’s Homs, killing at least six people and injuring more than 20 others.
Shortly after Friday prayers, the attack took aim at the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Homs’ Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood, according to SANA.
State media reported that security forces were looking into the situation and had erected a cordon around the area.
Local authorities claimed that a suicide bomber or explosives placed there may have caused the incident.
Homs has a diverse population of Alawites, Christians, and Sunni Muslims, according to Ayman Oghanna, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Aleppo. He claimed the attack targeted an Alawite mosque, warning that sectarian strife could result from it.
He claimed no one had accepted responsibility for the attack, but that ISIL (ISIS) activity had recently increased in Syria. He added that three alleged ISIL members had been arrested during an operation near Aleppo by government forces.
In retaliation for the killings of two US soldiers and a civilian interpreter, the US bombed ISIL positions in Syria last week. In November, Damascus pledged to eliminate the group’s remaining members. He also signed up for a global anti-ISIL alliance.
