Everything you need to know about Brooklyn Beckham’s brutal family feud:

  • Even for the Christmas season, Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham’s ongoing feud with his family is not waning. Following a severe disagreement, the aspiring chef and photographer has been very distant from his well-known family.
  • Although no specifics are known, it is believed that the 26-year-old first started separating from his family after getting married to billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz-Beckham.
  • It was reported earlier this week that Brooklyn and his wife’s parents, Lady Victoria and Sir David Beckham, had unfollowed him on social media, causing concern that their relationship might never rekindle. Cruz, the 20-year-old brother of Brooklyn, later refuted the speculation.
  • Instead, he claimed that his older sibling had actually blocked his sister Harper, making the situation even more alarming. Cruz stated on Instagram, “NOT TRUE. Never would my parents unfollow their son, according to my parents. Get the facts right, folks. They both woke up blocked, just like I did.
  • A source claims that Brooklyn’s famous family will leave the Peltz-Beckhams “alone” and claim to be silent. They claimed that the Beckhams began these “blocking” game stories earlier this year and continue to do so. It shouldn’t and shouldn’t be a story whether someone follows someone on Instagram or any other platform. Nothing has changed in this unfortunate circumstance.
  • The source added that Brooklyn is being “further away” from his relatives by Cruz speaking out about being blocked.
  • What does this, however, mean for the multibillion-dollar brand, which is now run by two distinct families? According to PR expert Mayah Riaz, Brooklyn and Nicola’s move was intended to “silence” their relatives. That is “story shaping,” Mayah told the Mirror. Brooklyn and Nicola are both victims of something more sinister and deliberate, as evidenced by this. That PR decision is very specific. Victimhood with credibility is the hidden spin. They are trying to change the power dynamic by describing themselves as gaslit. We are justified in our silence, not “we are silent,” but rather that the message is. Why they aren’t engaging directly are the objectives of this kind of briefing. Without having to speak for themselves, it gives them moral support.
  • Brooklyn’s family feud may have led to his risking Gordon Ramsay’s wrath, as has since come to light. Holly, Gordon’s daughter, and Adam Peaty, OBE, will get married in a few days. Brooklyn, who was a close family friend of the Ramsays, won’t be present, though.
  • According to a source, David and Victoria associate the Ramsays with extended family. “Gordon and Tana have been angry about the fallout as well,” a source said. They adore Brooklyn a lot. Since he was a baby, they have known him. It’s very sad that Brooklyn doesn’t seem to remember many of the people he used to hang out with before Nicola. He has a lot of resentment toward these people, and Holly is one of them. Given that his parents were present, there would have been a lot of the scene, though, should Brooklyn have been there.
  • The Beckham family’s Cotswolds estate will be hosting Christmas, but Brooklyn won’t be as welcoming. Nicola and Brooklyn will be holding the celebration at the Palm Beach, Florida, Peltz family mansion Stateside.

Sigourney Weaver addresses concerns over Avatar kiss scene with teenage co-star

When one scene in Avatar demanded his character to kiss hers, Vanessa Weaver has spoken about the ways that producers watched her young co-star Jack Champion.

Sigourney Weaver has spoken out about what she called “legitimate” concerns surrounding an on-screen kiss she shares with a much younger co-star in Avatar: Fire and Ash. The actress, 76, who used motion-capture technology to play teenage Na’vi Kiri, shares a tender moment with another young character called Spider at one point in the sci-fi flick.

Spider is played by American star Jack Champion, who was just 14 when the scene was filmed. Sigourney has now explained that producers took steps to make sure his boundaries were respected on set. During a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “That scene where I say: ‘You’re perfect just as you are’, we had to be very delicate about that scene because it included a kiss. Obviously I wasn’t going to kiss Jack, who was 14 or 15, in real life.”

She continued, revealing that the kiss was captured on stand-in cameras rather than directly between the two actors. She explained, “We requested Jack choose a person I could kiss, and he did.” Then, I can imagine that they chose a Jack-a-Jack person when I wasn’t there. That concern for all of that was occurring, which is legitimate.

Sigourney claimed that the scene in the final cut of the movie was hers because she had initially worried about safeguarding it, and that the emotional connection between the characters had come across as real.

The actress also confirmed that Jack and her only other guests were present when she filmed a scene separately. Working opposite Jack felt like a “little vacation,” according to Signature, who praised Jack’s performance.

She claims that her character’s enthusiasm for Spider contributed to her performance’s sense of playfulness.

In the movie, Sigourney also compared their physical contrast, noting that Spider is a tall order over Kiri. The tall, tall actress said she enjoyed the visual muck.

Jack also spoke positively about working with Sigourney, telling Entertainment Weekly: “Since Sigourney is Sigourney, she’s so good at acting…when she’s acting, it is very unique, but it was so easy ’cause she’s such a good actress. I just reacted off her.”

Avatar: Fire and Ash has had a strong box office debut since its release on December 19 worldwide. On its opening weekend, the movie dominated the US and Canada charts, earning $88 million (£65.5%).

Additionally, it generated a total of $345 million (257 million) in the UK and Ireland, or $ 9 million, globally. Industry analysts have noted that Avatar movies typically gain momentum over time, despite the opening numbers being lower than 2022’s The Way of Water.

Previous installments held the top spot at the box office for weeks as viewers frequently returned for more. However, this third Avatar installment has received mixed reviews.

The film’s scale and visual ambition have received rave reviews from Empire and The London Evening Standard. On the other hand, Time Magazine and The Telegraph critics claimed that the franchise had lost its appeal.

James Cameron, the director of the movie, has stated that the success of upcoming sequels will depend on the level of viewer interest in continuing to explore Pandora.

Israeli forces demolish shops in raids near occupied East Jerusalem

As part of a wider military offensive across several Palestinian neighborhoods, witnesses and medical professionals claim that Israeli forces have begun destroying shops north of the Qalandiya refugee camp as part of a wider Israeli offensive.

According to local media reports, the raids began early on Tuesday and spread to the nearby town of Kafr Aqab, where Israeli troops are stationed frequently and conducted house searches and forcedly evicted residents from their homes.

At least three people were treated by the medical teams from the raids in Qalandiya and Kafr Aqab, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. A bullet wound to the thigh, wounds brought on by live ammunition, and other injuries sustained as a result of physical assault included.

According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, at least three Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire in addition to dozens of suffocations brought on by the use of tear gas and stun grenades, according to the governorate of Jerusalem.

During the extensive incursion, which was also accompanied by the deployment of military vehicles and bulldozers, several Palestinians were taken into custody.

Residents of the Qalandiya refugee camp Anan Mohammed Taha and his father, Mohammed Taha, were among those detained, according to Wafa.

Anxiety and intimidation are two words.

Residents claimed that Kafr Aqab’s residents had been ordered by Israeli forces to evacuate their homes. At least three of those homes had been converted into temporary military installations. According to reports, the operation would continue until at least until Wednesday morning.

According to Al Jazeera Arabic’s correspondent, Israeli forces also stormed the youth club inside the Qalandiya refugee camp and constructed a military-grade complex there.

Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at them during the raid in Kafr Aqab, killing several Al Jazeera Arabic reporters.

The Jerusalem governorate’s authorities reported that private surveillance cameras were seized as well as stun grenades fired directly at local students as they returned from school.

According to Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim, who is based in Kafr Aqab, Israeli forces continue to “intimidate” Palestinians.

In an effort to further devastate the Palestinian economy, Ibrahim said, “They have raided Palestinian stores, Palestinian shops, and they’ve destroyed some of the plaques, some of the advertisement billboards that were here.”

As these Israeli raids continue every day, she continued, adding that this is a part of the anxiety that Palestinians experience day in and day out.

According to Ibrahim, there are on average “60 raids per day” of Israeli incursions across the West Bank.

Israeli forces also seized items from commercial stores in the Qalandiya refugee camp, Kafr Aqab, and some of northern Jerusalem, citing alleged unpaid municipal taxes.

These areas are home to the majority of Palestinian residents who are residents of Jerusalem. Residents claim that they are billed high municipal taxes while getting few basic services.

German debutant Arno Merk said he was left “stunned” by his straight-set win over two-time champion Peter Wright at the PDC World Championship.

Wright, who triumphed at Alexandra Palace in 2020 and 2022, was well below par – winning just two legs in Tuesday’s second-round match and averaging below 80.

The Scot, 55, landed just two of his 15 darts at doubles and Merk, who ended with an average of 92.17 and hit nine of his 19 double attempts, took full advantage.

“I’m stunned, I can’t believe it,” Merk said on stage to Sky Sports after his win. “I just beat a legend and I’m so happy.”

Merk could face another former world champion, Dutchman Michael van Gerwen, in round three.

Van Gerwen will play William O’Connor from the Republic of Ireland later on Tuesday.

His victory was the only match in the day’s first session not to go to a deciding set.

Daryl Gurney, the 22nd seed, lost a close contest to England’s Callan Rydz.

World number 42 Rydz, who hit two 167 checkouts during the match, could next meet 11th seed Josh Rock – who partnered Gurney to World Cup glory for Northern Ireland in June.

The second round will be completed on Tuesday, with four remaining matches to be played from 19:00 GMT.

After a three-day break for Christmas, the tournament will resume on Saturday, 27 December, when round three is scheduled to get under way.

Russell Brand faces new charges of rape and sexual assault say Metropolitan Police

https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article35863593.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/1_Russell-Brand-Appears-At-Southwark-Crown-Court-Charged-With-Rape-And-Sexual-Assault.jpg

Charges are in relation to alleged offences against two women, the police have said.

Comedian and actor Russell Brand will face two further charges, one of rape and one of sexual assault, in relation to alleged offences against two women, the Metropolitan Police have said. The alleged offences took place in 2009, the Crown Prosecution Service said. Brand is due to appear in court next month in relation to the new charges.

The TV and movie star, 50, previously pleaded not guilty to five charges including two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault in relation to alleged offences between 1999 and 2005, involving four women. He denied the charges at Southwark Crown Court in London earlier this year.

In a statement today, the police force said that the CPS has authorised an additional charge of rape and a charge of sexual assault relating to two further women. He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates ‘ Court on 20 January 2026.

A trial for the five original charges will take place at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June 2026. Brand is accused of raping a woman in a hotel room and grabbing a TV worker’s breasts and orally raping her after dragging her into a male toilet, the court heard in May.

He was charged following an investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches programme and the Sunday Times in which several women made allegations against him.

Brand has long insisted he is innocent, telling his followers: “I’ve always told you guys that when I was young and single, before I had a wife and family… I was a fool, man. I was a fool before I lived in the light of the Lord… I have never engaged in non consensual activity, I pray you can see that by looking in my eyes”.

Brand rose to fame on British TV presenting on MTV followed by jobs fronting Big Brother’s Big Mouth. He later was given his own Radio 2 show and became a big star in Hollywood thanks to films Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him To The Greek and Arthur.
