Liverpool has confirmed that Alexander Isak has a broken leg and undergone surgery.

Isak’s recovery is still on hold, but the club has yet to set a date for him to be sidelined for at least a few months.

Liverpool claimed the 26-year-old “successfully underwent surgery” for a “ankle injury that included a fibula fracture.”

Isak came off the bench to score against Tottenham on Saturday, but Micky van de Ven quickly injured him after he had already scuffled his shot before the goal, making it impossible to continue. He was aided off the pitch by medical staff because he was clearly in pain.

Since moving to Liverpool from Newcastle in September, the forward has scored three goals in 16 appearances for the Premier League.

At the end of the summer, Georgina Castle and Simon Lipkin, a power couple from the West End, got married, but only the bride managed to escape for a honeymoon in the winter.

Mamma Mia ! Georgina Castle, a reality TV star, revealed that she had traveled on a “honeymoon without my husband.” Without her other half, the actress gathered with her parents to enjoy a romantic getaway. The 33-year-old West End actor recently tied the knot with 39-year-old fellow stage actor Simon Lipkin. He has also appeared in productions of Dirty Dancing, Mean Girls, and Elf.

However, Simon has been too busy performing to leave, despite Georgina finding some time for some winter sun. Georgina skipped a sunburnt vacation to the Maldives with her parents, tennis legend Andrew Castle, 62, and mother Sophia, a former Strictly contestant.

The actress shared some of the highlights of her trip with her husband at home and her fans on Instagram. She captioned her hilariously funny story, “I went on a honeymoon without my husband and crashed my parents’ romantic holiday”! “I feel so incredibly lucky that I got to celebrate this year with family,” Georgina continued.

adding to her husband, who is currently cast as Fagan in an Oliver production! On Shaftesbury Avenue, Simon said, “You’ll be relieved to hear that we’re about to do something amazing soon…with a few less sharks.” Fish, turtles, sharks, suns, and a long line of emojis were added to the caption.

Georgina was seen lying on the pristine sandy beaches, waving flyboards out in the clear waters, and swimming alongside sea life beneath the waves while wearing bikinis. Georgina, Andrew, and Sophia smiled for the camera while wearing snorkeling gear, making for a good mood for a family portrait alongside her parents.

Three months prior to Georgina and Simon’s engagement in front of friends and family, the couple made the trip. Georgina dazzled in a variety of outfits on their wedding day, which the happy couple have shared. In the heart of London, the bride and groom also posed for photos.

After uploading a number of images to her Instagram, Georgina wrote a gushing statement about her heart as she prepared for the next chapter in her life.

She continued, “We both adored getting married in the heart of the city, and there was something very special about it.” There’s always something romantic about a sunset on the beach, but there’s also something romantic about old brickwork, neon signs, and London’s energy.

An evening filled with love, laughter, incredible music, speeches that will stick with us forever, delicious cake, dancing, cocktails, more cake, and more music, she continued! Everyone who contributed to making it so special: thank you! Thank you so much @maramariebridal for creating the party look of my dreams, as well! “!

She continued, “I went into her store and fell in love with the full-length version of this mini, but I already had my wedding dress in mind. She super kindly offered to design this party dress for me that had all of my favorite elements from the original and was PERFECT!! I could “dance the night away,” “whack my hair into a pony,” and “let loose”!

Georgina and Simon both appeared in West End productions in 2022 and 2023, urging other women to visit the gown expert. “visit her because she’s the bloody best.”

Georgina has recently appeared in the West End version of the movie 50 First Dates, with earlier this year’s musical adaptation taking over Victoria’s The Other Palace.

Reality show fans will recall that Georgina’s father, former British number 1 tennis star, Andrew Castle, was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2008. He was paired with professional dancer Ola Jordan – but the duo failed to win the season six crown.

In week seven, Tom Chambers and his dance partner Camilla Sacre-Dallerup won the season while Andrew and Ola were eliminated. S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens and her dance partner Vincent Simone, as well as modeling sensation Lisa Snowdon and her dance partner Brendan Cole, were the other celebs to win that year.

Jessie J says she’s not going to ‘sit down and cry’ due to cancer diagnosis

https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article36442292.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/1_WH-Jessie-J-61.jpg

Jessie J, who is best known for her impressive singing career, has spoken about her early breast cancer diagnosis and the way it has affected her life.

Jessie J, the singer who was diagnosed with cancer, has stated that she won’t “sit down and be quiet and cry” and will instead make a promise to sing as loudly and proudly as she can. The 37-year-old, who goes by Jessica Cornish, has revealed how early breast cancer affected her and how it affected her daily life.

The mother-of-one announced her diagnosis in June, and a few weeks later, she underwent her first operation. Jessie described how she delayed her surgery that month in an interview with Women’s Health UK to prepare for Capital’s Summertime Ball.

She continued, “I feel bad that not everyone who undergoes cancer surgery experiences that moment.” 80, 000 people cheered, not because I sang well or wore a certain outfit. We hoped this would go well and said, “We love you, we’re behind you.”

We don’t have to sit down and cry because we have cancer, so we’re not handcuffed. I’m going to scream “Bang Bang” the loudest I can.

The lyrics to the song Bang Bang, which she first sang with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, are about having confidence and self expression.

Jessie wants to alter the cancer narrative, saying, “Oh, you should go away and deal with it privately and quietly. Nobody ought to be aware of it. Nobody wants to see how ugly you look. And when everything is finished, and everything is perfect, return. That’s not who I am.

“I did a show the day after the miscarriage, even after the miscarriage.” I was grieving while I was on the stage, which was the show.

And she hopes that speaking out loudly about the illness rather than hiding behind her. People constantly tell me that a friend checked her breasts after hearing my story, she continued. They discovered a lump, which is cancer, and it has been detected early. I’m in a puddle right now. So, yes, I’ll continue to emphasize how crucial it is.

The singer-songwriter made it known in August that she needed to have another operation before the end of the year, which caused her to postpone her upcoming tour.

The US leg of her tour has been postponed, and her UK and European tour dates have been postponed until April 2026.

After her surgeries, she returned to performing in September, at BBC’s Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford. In November she was seen hugging the Princess of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance.

Both women have shared experiences of receiving cancer treatment in the public eye, despite the fact that she described it as a “mum to mum” experience at the time.

Jessie also spoke to Women’s Health about how she reached out to presenter Davina McCall, who announced her breast cancer diagnosis in a post on Instagram last month.

This is your thing, the singer said, “I’ve never spoken to [Davina] before, but I reached out and said, “This is what’s helped me, maybe it can help you.” You make the necessary bubble.

Sky Safir Cornish Colman, the singer’s son, was born in London in 2023 despite having a miscarriage in November 2021.

Jessie has struggled with ill health her entire life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition at the age of eight, having experienced a minor stroke at the age of 18 and having briefly lost hearing in 2020.

She said, “So many things have happened to me since I was young.” I’ve always had obscure medical problems that (doctors) can’t figure out.

Nothing has caused me any harm. I think I’ve done everything in my power to assist others. Even if all it’s about is to write about it is.

With Domino, Price Tag, and Bang Bang, the singer-songwriter has three number one songs on the UK singles chart.

Her first studio album in almost a decade, Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time, was released on November 28. It is said to have captured her final ten years’ raw highs and lows. She claimed last month that her cancer had altered her outlook on life at the LP launch in London.

She continued, “I’m just grateful for the lessons and grateful honestly for the connectivity that has given me with so many cancer patients. I wouldn’t have had the beautiful conversations I’ve had. Additionally, I’ve grown up better as a parent and a better person. I’ve never given a damn about the little things. Some things no longer stress me out because you just have to sit down when life turns into something you feel powerless to control.

Jessie won four Mobo awards in 2011 including the Brit Award for rising star and the best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like a Dude, and best album with Who You Are.

Jessie also praised her partner, Chanan Colman, as well as her “extraordinary” dad. They first got together in 2021, but they kept things a secret until they were spotted together in Los Angeles in 2022.

While on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island, the singer and former basketball player later confirmed their relationship.

She remarked, “Chanan is the most amazing father. He is such a stand-up father and man, and it is obvious that he loves our son Sky first. He’s been really good at challenging me with how I’m looking after myself because he’s an ex-athlete and also has no assistant. Every so often, my mother will come and offer assistance. But when I’m at work, Chanan frequently has Sky.

AFCON 2025: Foster, Appollis On Target As South Africa Beat Angola

For the first time in 21 years, South Africa defeated Angola 2-1 in Marrakech on Monday in the opening game of the Africa Cup of Nations campaign thanks to Burnley striker Lyle Foster’s 79th minute winner.

When they first appeared in various editions of the biggest African football competition since beating Benin in 2004, Bafana Bafana have drawn twice and lost four times.

Three distinct phases were present in the Group B opener. Oswin Appollis scored in the near-42, 000-seat stadium with a 21-minute opener in front of a sizable crowd in South Africa.

The rest of the opening half was controlled by Show, who leveled. In the second half, South Africa quickly regained control and scored the winning goal.

In the opening moments, South Africa frequently attacked, but Ronwen Williams’ goalkeeper had to react quickly on 15 minutes to stop Fredy Ribeiro’s cross.

Six minutes later, Appollis won possession of Bafana Bafana and Hugo Marques, a 39-year-old goalkeeper, with a low shot into the corner.

As the game neared the half-hour mark, Williams made a brilliant point-blank save from a Gelson Dala header.

It was a surprise when Show, one of many Angolan footballers who use a nickname, equalized after 35 minutes as Angola were on the rise.

Siyabonga Ngezana’s fouling of Dala was so fortunate that Siyabonga Ngezana was spared yellow cards, but the indolence turned disastrous on a chilly evening in central Morocco.

Show connected with the ball to steer it into the corner after the resultant free kick was slashed low into the South African goalmouth.

As the half-hour approached, there were rumors of a famine, and the Sudanese referee issued a caution to To Carneiro of Angola, South Africans Aubrey Modiba, and Sphephelo Sithole.

Patrice Beaumelle, a Frenchman who had led the teams out of the pitch at half-time, would have been the happier coach because Angola was unfortunate not to be ahead.

Six minutes into the second half, South Africa thought they had taken the lead after Mohau Nkota’s substitute Mohau Moremi fired a low shot past Marques and into the net.

However, a VAR review revealed that Foster, the only South African player from the top five of the squad in Europe, had a slight offside.

When South Africa was pressed for a second goal, center-back Mbekezeli Mbokazi abruptly gave up his defensive duties to beat Marques with a long-range drive that did not rebound off the crossbar.

South Africa continued to lead the charge for the majority of the opening half, moving ahead in search of the lead.

Moremi outpaced a defender in a quick Bafana counterattack, and Foster wasted a good chance by firing over the ball before squandering the ball in his path.

But Foster made amends with a shot from the edge of the box that Marques had no chance to receive with 11 minutes remaining to restore South Africa’s lead.

The striker scored his fourth goal in six games after intercepting an Angolan pass and two skillful passes.
