After discussions with the UFC, Russian boxer Vadim Nemkov has since agreed to a new contract with the PFL.

The 33-year-old former Bellator champion is regarded as one of the best outsider talent in non-UFC and has not lost since 2016.

Nemkov claimed that the PFL’s offer was lower than the UFC’s.

Nemkov continues to keep his eye on signing for the UFC despite unsuccessful negotiations, which would leave him at the age of 35 with his career at the end of his career.

Khamzat Chimaev, the most recent champion fighter, is one of the many Russian talents the UFC has in their divisions.

In a one-sided fight earlier this month, Chimaev won his first UFC title against current middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis.

With Tom Aspinall, the current champion, having already defeated most of the top contenders in the weight class, Nemkov made a good choice for the UFC to increase their heavyweight division.

Since January, the former Bellator light-heavyweight champion has signed for a free agent.

On social media, PFL chairman Donn Davis revealed Nemkov’s new deal and listed a number of potential heavyweight opponents, including Francis Ngannou, Renan Ferreira, and Oleg Popov.

Since 2023, Nemkov has won 18 fights, two losses, and one no-contest on average.
