The State’s good citizens have been comforted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s (NDLEA) commitment to tackling drug trafficking and abuse.
Samaila Danmalam, the NDLEA Commander in Katsina, made the disclosure at a press conference on the end of the year in a statement on Tuesday.
The Command noted that the mission necessitated collective efforts while highlighting the command’s accomplishments in 2025, which occurs as the ceremony for the 61 promoted officers of the command ascendant to various ranks.
Danmalam argued that more collaboration is needed to bring Katsina into focus, stating that the Command believed that drug offenses can be reduced and peace can be preserved through information sharing, advocacy, and community policing.
He recalled that in 2025, command operatives detained a number of people for various drug-related offenses after conducting intelligence-led raids and patrols, causing significant seizures and the state’s illicit drug networks to be hampered.
