How does it feel to have your first Christmas at EastEnders?
I’m really looking forward to watching Christmas Day as a viewer – and not knowing what’s going on. That’s actually really nice. It’s also really lovely having more time to prepare for Christmas and to be around for the children. I do miss those cold October nights on Albert Square, filming Christmas early, though – that feeling is very special.
Can you see Corrie and Emmerdale working on a cross-over episode with EastEnders and another soap soon?
I’m really interested to see how the crossover works. Someone suggested EastEnders and Casualty, which I think is a brilliant idea. I’d definitely watch that.
What do you hope to accomplish in 2026, and are there any goals you have?
You know, I don’t believe in resolutions because they put too much pressure on people. I’m not giving up! For health reasons, I do want to work out a little more, and I’d like to go see more live performances. I have a lot of hope for comedy, so I’d like to see a comedy come along.
Do you anticipate ever seeing yourself playing EastEnders again?
Not soon, no. It’s still very early, and I only left in February. I find it enjoyable to be diverse and open. You never know, because it’s my second home and very close to my heart.
