From tote bags to clutches, Lulu Guinness has got it covered when it comes to bags, and now we’ve seen the return of the iconic printed tote bags
Being the proud owner of not one but two of the sought-after Lulu Guinness tote bags, I’m delighted to see the designer brand is offering shoppers another opportunity to purchase them. So popular that it frequently sells out, this summer has witnessed the comeback of the iconic Black Multi Lulu Lip Striped Tote Bag.
Priced at £30, I believe it’s an absolute bargain for a designer bag that’s spacious enough for shopping, swimming, days out and virtually any other occasion where size truly counts.
Renowned for her distinctive British flair and trademark motifs, Lulu Guinness has a talent for turning ordinary accessories into standout pieces – and these tote bags are certainly no different.
As someone who loves clean lines and black-and-white colour schemes, they bring a fun twist to my wardrobe. Lulu Guinness bags are crafted to be just a touch eccentric and these two are definitely on-brand with their cheeky designs and oversized red lips – a signature element from Lulu and her team, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The ‘ quintessentially British ‘ accessory designer has previously spoken about her iconic striped tote bag, saying: “It’s not your usual tote bag, the design is in the detail. It’s designed to be super versatile and used as your grocery bag for life, but it’s also your everything bag”.
Personally, I’ve found the deep bucket bags incredibly handy and spacious. With measurements of 37 x 57 x 16cm, the tote design is technically too large for hand luggage on most UK airlines, although its flexible structure makes it easy to squeeze into rucksacks, suitcases and even handbags.
The stunning Black Multi Lulu Lip Striped Tote Bag showcases a classic Lulu Guinness pattern, and is completed with the brand’s iconic red lip motif and logo straps, along with a matching lip charm for a fun final touch. Made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, it features a handy interior pocket that’s ideal for keys, phones, and other essentials.
To my joy, the bag also includes extra-long shoulder straps and grab handles, making it a comfortable carry even when filled to the brim. A brilliant buy for holidays, day trips and more, the tote provides plenty of room to fit everything from a beach towel to a 16-inch laptop.
I must admit, I’m such a fan of designer shopping bags that I also own the Lulu Guinness Flurry of Kisses Bag. Essentially the same size and shape, this bag is an even bigger steal at £20, if you can still find it in stock.
Adorned with kisses, it also features dual handles for shoulder or hand carry, plus external and internal pockets to keep everything organised.
Adding a touch of stylish flair to your shopping routine, it arrives with a removable zip-top pouch that’s also ‘ sealed with a kiss. ‘ It rounds off the ideal duo of matching designer tote bags that are always within reach in my car boot, packed alongside a few Orla Kiely and William Morris tote bags as well.
Meanwhile, Oliver Bonas also offers a delightful range of tote bags that are gorgeous inside and roomy outside, featuring the Striped Logo Fabric Tote Shopper. At £24, it comes in several colour options.
I’m not the only one who believes this bag is utterly brilliant – the rave reviews speak volumes. One delighted shopper wrote: “This bag is beautiful. It has replaced my work bag for the summer! Worth every penny – was looking at the Waitrose one but this is much better. Thank you Lulu for brining this back at much a great price – I bought two!”.
Another noted: “Beautiful bag – was available before at Waitrose but sold out – so glad Lulu brought this back”!. A third observed: “These are brilliant. I ordered five for gifts for friends. Super quality and eye catching I think a steal at £30”.
However, one customer was not impressed with the price, leaving a one-star review and stating: “It’s a great bag but it’s much better because I bought the original from Waitrose for half the price”.
