Marks and Spencer has launched a new pair of men’s boxers that work just like a push up bra, offering ‘a subtle lift and enhanced fit’ – and they might be top of your to-buy list
When women shop for new underwear, there are plenty of different options to help lift, smooth, support and sculpt, especially when it comes to bras. However the same can’t be said for men’s underwear, which generally falls into a choice of boxers, briefs or shorts.
But Marks and Spencer is about to change all of that, as it launches its brand new Secret Support Trunks . The new supportive boxers give “a subtle lift and enhanced fit through clever, discreet design” according to Mitch Hughes, director of menswear at M&S via The Guardian , and act similarly to a push up bra for women.

Priced at £28 for a pack of three, the new Secret Support Trunks come in both black and white and sizes small to XL. The boxers feature the retailer’s new Secret Support internal pouch, which has been designed to provide exceptional comfort, added support, and a discreet lift.
Influencer Tom Sheard shared his thoughts on the new design during his Instagram ad with the brand. In his post, Tom said: “Boys — let’s talk about size. Kinda. @marksandspencerman have just launched Secret Support — the first men’s boxers with a discreet internal pouch designed to give you… a subtle two-inch lift. Think of it as a little boost for the boys — comfort, shape, and confidence, all in a boxer!”
Mitch Hughes added that the Secret Support Trunks are all about “Helping men feel their most confident”, and they’re great for giving some extra lift and support whenever it’s needed. Although the design is new to M&S, these aren’t actually the only lifting and supporting boxers on the market.
Vocla has a whole range of “Push up, support and lifting underwear” to shop, including different styles like briefs and trunks, and lots of colourways to choose from. Elsewhere at Step One you can pick up a pair of Trunks for £6 (down from £15) which have a 3D comfort pouch to keep everything separated, with bamboo viscose material to prevent sweating and chafing.
With Christmas on the horizon, if you’ve got a partner who’s notoriously tricky to buy for, might these ultra-supportive trunks be one to add to his Christmas list this year? That’s for you to decide!
