What’s the best thing about Christmas? Is it the presents? Getting to spend time with your nearest and dearest? The Strictly Christmas special? All good – but the number one best thing about the festive season is, of course, the food.
It’s that time of year when all the supermarkets are unveiling the delicious treats they’ve got on offer this year, and one national chain is getting things started right with the most important meal of the day. Marks and Spencer fans on Instagram were amazed by the retailer’s breakfast party food range.
Posting images of its product range on the social media platform, the company said: “BREAKFAST. PARTY FOOD. Sign us up! We’re still not over our FIRST EVER breakfast party food launch, landing in store today you don’t have to wait until festivities to begin to tuck into these NEW epic treat, PLUS you can pick them up in our four for three offer!”
Detailing the various products it is launching, it said: “Maple Bacon Pancake Stacks – British outdoor bred bacon with hot maple syrup between two fluffy buttermilk pancakes – YES PLEASE.
“Ham & Cheese Mini Croissants – Mini all butter croissants filled with Serrano ham and Castilla cheese, heat them in the oven so the cheese goes all gooey – ABSOLUTELY YES.
“Hot Smoked Salmon Rosti – Mini potato rostis topped with hot smoked Caledonian Gold salmon mixed with sour cream, cheddar, and herbs – YES, YES, YES!

It added: “Find them NOW in your local M&S Foodhall or online at @ocadouk.”
Fans were salivating over the products, with one writing: “The hash brown fingers are so good. My freezer is full of them ready for Christmas!”
Another asked: “Is all of this freezeable?” Marks and Spencer replied: “Hi there, the pancakes and salmon rosti are suitable for freezing.” The user replied: “I just went up and bought them. Going to have it Christmas Day rather than make a mess with eggs royale.”
A third user wrote: “Oh my goodness how good do these look!!!!” And another said: “We need these for our Christmas gathering.”
Someone else said: “Omg! Always upping the game M&S.” Another said: “Cannot wait to try them.”
And another fan wrote: “Oh my days!!!!! it all looks so delicious!!! especially the hash brown stick things.”
