Singer Morgan Wallen has shared a cryptic message after he was slammed for walking off Saturday Night Live. He appeared to not be able to wait to get off set and took to social media to prove it.

Morgan received fan dejection as he received the label of “rude.” He made an appearance on the I’m the Problem, his upcoming album, to introduce two brand-new songs.

While Morgan leant over and said something in her ear, the Oscar-winning actress Mikey Madison finished her closing speech. At the conclusion of the episode, Mikey and the rest of the SNL cast had a party, and Morgan was filmed leaving.

It seems he headed straight to the airport to leave New York City and took to his Instagram. He appeared unimpressed with his time in the Big Apple as he wrote: “Get me to God’s country.”

A source from Morgan’s team told Variety that despite the backlash, the show’s abrupt exit and Instagram post did not cause any offense to him.

His second appearance on SNL came after making his SNL debut in December 2020. The country singer made fun of himself for making out with women in bars without a mask on during the COVID-19 pandemic during his first performance, 7 Summers, which he performed.

Morgan has had multiple controversies during his career so far. Last year, he was arrested after throwing a chair from the roof of Chief’s Bar in Nashville, which police officers from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said landed three feet away from them.

The artist was accused of disorderly conduct and three counts of reckless endangerment. According to the arrest report, staff members at the bar informed police that he had to throw the chair.

Morgan’s lawyer said in a statement following the incident: “At 10.53pm, Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

He later shared a statement on X saying: “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behaviour, and I accept responsibility.

The officers who work every day to protect us all have the utmost respect. There won’t be any modifications to my tour. Wallen has run into police before, according to the article.

He was detained in Nashville’s Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk bar in May 2020 for disorderly conduct. In 2016, he was also accused of DUI, but the case was dropped.

Morgan’s use of the N-word in a video that appeared in February 2021 also sparked controversy, which resulted in the suspension of his recording contract, the elimination of his music from radio stations, and the suspension of his participation in award shows.

He apologized, saying, “I’m embarrassed and sorry.” I wish I could take back the offensive and offensive racial slur I used. Never use this kind of language is there an excuse. I apologize in full for using the word. I’m going to do better.
