Dele Alake, the minister of solid mineral development, claimed on Wednesday that the Bola Tinubu administration had attracted more than $800 million in direct foreign investment into the Nasarawa State mining sector.

Alake made the disclosure during Tinubu’s one-day state visit to the state to launch projects being led by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

We have attracted more than $800 million in direct foreign investment into the sector as a result of this positive local value addition policy, in Nasarawa State alone.

I made a $400 million rare earth minerals and critical metals plant, the largest in Africa, that would be located in Nasarawa State in just three days, according to him.

Separation centers would be set up in other geopolitical regions of the nation, according to the minister, despite the $ 400 million rare earth minerals and critical metals plant, which would result in over 10,000 jobs.

He stated, “Nasarawa State will be the location of this largest rare earth mineral in Africa.” However, it will create over 10,000 jobs when it’s finished.

We have therefore requested that they relocate their separation centers so that all regions of Nigeria can take advantage of this historic breakthrough. ”

Oppositional Backspins

The minister added that those who didn’t care about the country’s best interests had faced opposition to the ministry.

We have also encountered difficulties, Alake said. The mine marshals have been blackmailed because of their unwavering opposition to illegal mining operations; they have experienced various forms of harassment.

But I constantly remind them that we should be adamant about the President; There is no turning back once he presses his hands on the plough. And despite the screams of the disapproving people and those who are putting together a coalition to persuade, Mr. There is no turning back once the president has stowed his hands on the plough. ”
