Fans of Marilyn Mackintosh’s clever trick for lifting and shaping their faces can be obtained with just a few swipes of makeup.
Although she’s never been shy about sharing which cosmetic procedures she’s had done, recently Millie Mackintosh showed fans how to achieve a sculpted, lifted without a single needle or filler in sight. The former Made in Chelsea star shared a video on Instagram where she teased: “I’m having a facelift!” Before adding: “But luckily, it only takes 10 seconds.”
Millie demonstrated how careful placement of contour and highlighter made her jawline and cheekbones appear higher and tighter while using only two different makeup products. Fans also concurred that Millie’s face might have slightly changed after the contouring, despite the fact that she acknowledged the results were subdued. However, she did state that she could see a difference in her face.

This £8 hydrating body oil is the “best repellent” for mosquitoes and insects.
Millie’s 10 second hack uses a much more minimalist approach to contouring, applying concealer and a darker foundation around your jaw and cheekbones, as opposed to the harsh contouring trend of 2016 across your entire face. Millie applied the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multi-Use Foundation Stick in a slightly darker shade to her skin tone toward her jaw to begin the process, which helps give her a tighter appearance.
The £48 Dior foundation stick is a bargain, but we also recommend Charlotte Tilbury’s Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick, which costs £35 and has a blurry and smooth finish. Kiko’s Sculpting Touch Creamy Stick Contour is a very affordable option for looks like this that call for a lot of blending, and it only costs £11.49. It is creamy and highly blendable.
Millie then applied Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow Concealer in tiny dots to Millie’s chin and placed them under her cheekbones once the contour was created around her mouth. In those areas, this gives the appearance of lift and brightness, enhancing their visibility and giving them a “facelift” appearance.
In Debenhams’ summer sale, Millie’s go-to concealer is currently 20% off, saving £31.80 on the same item. It also has a buildable medium coverage and a subtle glow, making it ideal for a summery, radiant appearance.
Millie carefully blended both the foundation and concealer using Merit’s Brush No 1 Blending Brush, £28. They instantly blurred together, giving the product a natural-looking finish, and said: “I think it’s made a subtle difference” as a result.
