Everyone is familiar with Miley Cyrus, from Hannah Montana to her stellar solo career and infamous wrecking ball antics, but in an unexpected turn, the singer is not Miley at all.
Everyone is aware of Miley Cyrus, whether it be for Hannah Montana, her incredible solo career, or her blatant use of demolition equipment.
However, a stunning discovery has revealed that the Party in the USA singer is actually something entirely different from Miley. That’s right, Miley is not the name she was given, as her mother Tish had previously revealed, just like in the TV show she became famously starring in.
Tish revealed that Destiny Hope, her famous daughter, was actually called Destiny Hope before getting nicknamed Miley, which is how it got stuck.
“Miley’s father, Billy Rae, came up with that.” She informed the hosts of the podcast. She used to be known as “smiley Miley,” and it just stuck because she always smiled when she was younger.
Cyrus has legally changed her nickname to “Cyrus,” and she is undoubtedly a fan of it as well.
Tish also shared the origins of Noah’s name, saying that she had a long love for it after hearing it a while back.
She said, “I remember years and years and years ago, I don’t even know who she was, but I remember seeing a girl called Noah Kelly, and I was like I have never heard that name for a girl, and I loved it”!
According to Tish, Brandi, the third Cyrus sister, also has a fun backstory. Brandi, a mother of five and music manager, was given the name “Brandi” after her favorite eighties music video.
She continued, “Remember the song Love in an Elevator, where there was a… hot video vixen called Brandi Brandt, and I adored it.
Fans were shocked to learn about the origins of Cyrus’ girls’ names in the comments section, just like the two hosts.
One person acknowledged that Miley is her stage name at the time of writing. Another added that they had “never believed Miley’s real name was Destiny” up until now.
Others praised Tish’s creative name choices, saying “not bad names honestly.” They are imaginative, but they are not necessarily bad.
