Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has been signed to a £36 million deal with Milan AC, including add-ons.
The 27-year-old has been given permission to travel for a medical and is expected to accept a pay cut to join the Italian national team on a five-year contract.
Nkunku’s two-year stay at Stamford Bridge will be ended by the Blues’ addition to the deal, which also includes a sell-on clause.
Meanwhile, striker Nicolas Jackson is reportedly in talks with Bayern Munich about a potential purchase.
Chelsea can also guantanamoize turning a profit on the transfer market with the purchase of Nkunku, which would increase the league’s total to around £27 million with player purchases.
Due to Uefa sanctions, including a fine of 31 million euros ($26. 7 million), as well as the requirement to maintain a “positive transfer balance” in this window in order to sign new players for the Champions League, Chelsea is concerned about player sales this summer.
After moving from RB Leipzig for about £52 million in 2023, Nkunku added 18 goals and five assists to his 62 games for Chelsea.
