Actress Michella Keegan and husband Mark Wright have been renovating their £3.5million mansion in Essex but it seems it’s not all smooth sailing at the property

Michelle Keegan is reportedly struggling to live in her £3.5million mansion after a masked robbery took place earlier this year. The actress lives in the impressive Essex pad along with husband Mark Wright and their daughter Paloma.

Despite the house being stunning, it seems that the past trauma of the break in is now impacting Michelle. The mum-of-one was heavily pregnant with her daughter Palma at the time of the crime.

Mark and Michelle had to lock themselves in one of the bedrooms back in February when the masked criminals broke in. Due to what happened, it has now been said that Michelle prefers to be elsewhere now.

The Sun reported that a source said that the house was her “dream home” and that she is “trying really hard to fall in love with being there again”.

Since February, it is reported that Michelle has been making an effort to keep her life more private now and keep off of Instagram. They said: “It’s the only way she can feel safe again, she knows they took things too far, they’ve flaunted too much.”

Mark and Michelle are no strangers to being in the public eye and the couple’s wealth apparently “sparked jealousy with the wrong people”.

The couple found that they were being “laughed at” by mums who lived nearby them in Essex. The source said: “It’s really cruel, but in their eyes they were quick to flaunt their wealth, so of course they were going to become a target.”

Mark and Michelle are making a move to be more private since the raid. The pair have found that this is more of a priority for them since the birth of her daughter, Palma, in March of this year.

Michelle has been keeping her daughter’s face off of social media as much as she can and Mark is on board with that agreement. They are also keen to keep photos of their home offline now as well.

Michella has been taking inspiration from other celebs such as Jennifer Aniston and Adele who are on social media but on their own terms.

“Michelle likes that – these days she doesn’t post much, it’s never in real time, and she certainly isn’t showing off what she’s got or boasting about what she’s up to,” the source said.

They added: “She sees how they are hugely successful and respected in their careers and life without ever showing fans their private lives, and she wants that.”

This isn’t the only crime that Michelle has been affected by this year as just last month her Range Rover was targetted. In the short clip uploaded to her stories she pointed at the long scratch on her car door and wrote: “Hope the person who did this felt better bout themselves afterwards [thumb up emoji] scruffs.”

She then filmed herself sat in the car and wrote: “Smiling on the outside, screaming on the inside, working out how not to let it ruin my day. Why though??”

The Mirror have contacted Michelle’s reps for comment.
