As they strolled in London with their daughter Palma and Michelle’s mother, Michelle and Michelle Keegan looked like the perfect family.
New parents Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan looked happier than ever as they enjoyed a walk with their newborn daughter. The happy couple, both 37, welcomed daughter Palma Elizabeth Wright into the world earlier this month after 10 years of marriage.
The former TOWIE star and actress Michelle co-ordinated outfits as they stepped out with baby Palma in a brown pram. Joined by the Michelle’s mum on the walk, the doting parents even stopped to take a snap with their first-born at one point.
Just weeks after giving birth, Michelle looked radiant while wearing a white top, black pants, and a beige cardigan. Mark, a reality TV star, donned a similar beige cover, black pants, and a black T-shirt to match his wife’s appearance.
Over the weekend, a knackered Mark confessed to being “a little bit tired” on his morning radio gig after becoming a first-time father on March 6. The 37-year-old hosts the Saturday Breakfast show on Heart FM with pal Olly Murs.
Taking to Instagram stories before going on air on Saturday, a bleary-eyed Mark rallied his listeners with a cheeky “get us on the radio, 9am ’til…” before sheepishly checking with his crew when he’s off-duty. He then quipped about his fatigue, admitting to his fans, “I’m a little bit tired today”, and sharing that he’d knocked back a couple of bevvies the night before—but refrained from spilling who was clinking glasses with him.
Although he kept mum on his drinking buddies, Mark suggested that there might have been some festivity ahead of the arrival of baby Palma. He had already declared earlier that it would help him “realise what life is all about.”
The new dad had a heartfelt moment when he held Olly in his arms during the show, and he now feels deeply about it. Mark couldn’t hide how badly missing his young daughter he was when he made his return to the Heart FM studio just a few days after becoming a father. He intends to video call his wife, actress Michelle, to catch up on family time while he’s off-air.
He praised the actress for portraying her as a real-life superhero and noting that he has gained a lot of respect for mothers everywhere.
Before going on to reflect on the maternal sacrifices made by other people, he said, “It’s the biggest accomplishment of my life is all I think about. But obviously hats go off to my wife, she is an absolute superhuman, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world,” he continued, “It makes you realise what our mothers did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.”
Following the top-secret birth of their daughter Palma a week prior, the relieved couple, who are set to celebrate a decade of marriage on May 24, have been cozying up in their £3.5 million Essex home.
A confidant described their subdued approach as “they wanted to keep the news very private and bask in the glory of a new born without any distractions without the world knowing.” They have been in total and total bliss because they are in a perfect love bubble without any external noises.
Michelle and Mark, who cohabitate in Essex and started dating in 2012, revealed the birthdate and birthdate of their daughter on March 12. They captioned their Instagram posts as “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl (love heart emoji).” Palma Elizabeth Wright 06.03.25″.
The couple also shared a black and white photo of their daughter being held. Underneath the post, Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden, The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, YouTuber Joe Wicks and Loose Women star Denise Welch congratulated the pair.
Last month, the couple reportedly hid from burglars in a locked bedroom during a break-in at their mansion. Essex Police said it was investigating a report of four suspects, who had forced entry and searched the address before fleeing.
Michelle began her acting career in TV playing Tina McIntyre in ITV soap opera Coronation Street, joining the show in 2008, before going on to star in hit army drama Our Girl as corporal Georgie Lane and in the comedy-drama Brassic as Erin Croft.
Wright was a semi-professional footballer who spent time at the youth academies of West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham before he starred in TOWIE. He gained further recognition after finishing as a runner-up on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2011, and as a finalist on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
