After completing a new three-year contract, Mexico City will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2028.

After being dropped by Red Bull at the end of the previous season, Mexican driver Sergio Perez lost his spot on the grid as a result of the deal.

The Mexican government supports the race, as well as local and national governments and businesses.

Claudia Sheinbaum, the new mayor of Mexico City, is a former mayor of the capital and a supporter of the election.

Since returning to the calendar in 2015 after 22 years, the race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez attracted one of the sport’s most enthusiastic crowds.

The unique atmosphere created by our fans in Mexico City is one of our championship’s most incredible and exciting experiences, according to Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO.
