During a recent Q&, A reality TV star revealed some off-screen secrets to viewers.
Members Only: Palm Beach, a Netflix reality series, exposes the fierce social scene in one of America’s most exclusive postcodes.
The show, released to the platform on December 29, shines a light on five wealthy locals vying for power and influence in an area packed with billionaires. The main cast includes property developer Hilary Musser, wellness expert Taja Abitbol, philanthropist Rosalyn Yellin, fashion designer Ro-mina Ustayev and DJ and former tech entrepreneur, Maria Cozamanis.
While she is a successful performer in Palm Beach, cast member Maria is shown trying to climb the social hierarchy away from her alter ego of DJ Tumbles, including by co-hosting her own event. She even helps newcomer Ro-mina navigate the unspoken rules of the area as an unofficial mentor – including to never ask for cash at a birthday party.
However, Maria’s journey on the show is not without its flaws: she frequently tears up, which leads to accusations of attention-seeking, and even leads to close friend Ro-mina distancing herself because of the emotional strain it places on her.
In a heartfelt Q&, A session with fans, she now addresses the cause of her repeated tears, revealing that there was a lot going on in the background that viewers didn’t see until the final edit.
Maria began, “Sitting next to Ro-mina, Maria, you completely jumped out,” she said, “Why do you cry so much?” ‘. Because I can, I suppose. Since I was going through a lot at the time of our lives, and it just happened while we were filming, I think one thing didn’t really come through when we filmed, like watching it back on TV.
She continued, “I was doing a lot of therapy, just sort of sort of working through some things with my mom, and I was hormonal at the time, and it just happened that I was crying a lot during those weeks of filming.”
I typically don’t feel that bad. Crier, I don’t like that, though. Like, it was terrible, and I was even watching it while screaming “B****, stop crying.” So, yeah, just be aware that I typically don’t cry that much.
Ro-mina also addressed Maria’s emotional moments with ease, revealing that she had since apologized once she realized how she felt.
She explained that she was also going through a lot and that she was dealing with a lot of her heaviness, and that she kept on me even though I didn’t mean to sound like a b****. I immediately texted her after watching the episode and said, “Mary, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be so mean.” “
