It sounds like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for that Spice Girls reunion, as one fifth of the band gets ready to release her first album in five years. Mel C reveals she’s to drop her ninth solo record and go on tour.

The news won’t be music to the ears of Mel B – who is desperate to get the gang back together. She recently admitted she’s badgering the girls to form again so they can get back out on tour. In an exclusive chat, Mel C teases what fans can expect from her new music that’s imminent.

She claimed that her new album was “finished and ready to go,” indicating that she is now busier than ever. According to Sporty Spice, her DJ career has influenced her musical direction as she continues to experiment.

She states, “I’ve been leaning more toward electronic pop music over the past few albums.” And with this one, I had to genuinely embrace that more along with my DJing and dance music.

I merely wanted to enjoy it and make something I adore. The album is complete, and updates are expected soon. I just love to sing, to perform, and to DJ, and I want to put everything together for this album because I feel like I’m still learning and growing. I’m eager to perform it once more.

Mel insists that due to collaborations with strong female artists, the album will still honor the girl power that the band has made famous. She also declares her desire to continue moving forward, partly because she wants to achieve a new fitness goal.

Mel said, “Exercrcise is so important to me. I’m launching Musical’s Greatest Hits,” a new album by Ben Forster. I want to be as active as possible, dance, perform, and have fun on stage. Although my sister wants us to compete in a physical activity together, I need some time to prepare.

“I’ve been busier than I’ve ever been this summer,” I must admit. It has been nonstop, and we can only hope that it will grow even busier next year. Although I’d like to do it, I also want to be physically prepared.

At the posh Mayfair brasserie Langan’s on Tuesday night, Ben Forster demonstrated that he truly is the voice of the West End by playing some tracks off of his new album Musical Greatest Hits.

Ben belted out shiver-worthy songs from the likes of Wicked and Phantom alongside showbiz pals like Mel C, who looked smitten with her Australian boyfriend Chris Dingwall, and Kimberley Walsh. On November 21, Ben’s new album will be available.

Sydney Christmas and Liberty X’s Kelli Young were also there supporting the former winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ITV talent show Superstar.
