In honor of her son who passed away tragically in tragic circumstances, close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen was the subject of a touching emotional event that Meghan Markle could be seen shedding a tear at.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who is also married to Prince Harry, made an emotional appearance at a weekend charity event in honor of the late son of a close friend.
The Los Angeles Tennis Club hosted the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament on Saturday, October 18, “in honor of George Zajfen and his love of tennis.”
Young George, the son of former model Kelly McKee Zajfen and her husband, entertainment lawyer Julian Zajfen, passed away in 2022 as a result of a hiccup. The Alliance of Moms, a group that supports “expectant and parenting youth in LA’s foster care system,” was established by Kelly, who has known Meghan for a long time before she gained notoriety.
The money raised at this heartfelt occasion was used to assist young mothers and advance their futures. Meghan could be seen wiping away a tear as Kelly, who is also the mother of Lily, addressed a speech at the tournament while Harry watched closely behind her.

Kelly praised Meghan, 44, in a heartfelt Instagram post reflecting on what had been a day of “tears, hugs, and so much joy”, in memory of her “beautiful boy”. She wrote: “I’m in awe of what we did together! Truly amazed. We raised a record-breaking $200,000 for our youth right here in Los Angeles and across California. Your generosity and support continue to change lives and keep George’s light shining so brightly. YOU did that.”
Kelly then directly addressed Harry and Meghan, saying, “I wanted to express my gratitude to Ziffren Brittenham and The Archewell Foundation, our presenting sponsors.” You continue to amaze me with your unwavering support for the community and unwavering support for friendship, Meg andamp; H. We’re so happy that you backed The Alliance once more this year.
I’m always amazed at your courage to stand up for our family, for this cause, and for others. Thank you for guiding us in Georgie’s light and keeping him in your thoughts. You are our love.
According to what it is known, Trevor Engelson, the ex-husband of Meghan and Julian, is how the two first met. Meghan and her glamorous pal have been friends for the longest and most romantic reasons.
Meghan and Harry donated £3, 722 [$5, 000] to a GoFundMe page in George’s honor after his tragic passing, and it’s obvious that the Duchess has continued to be a great source of emotional support for Kelly.
Kelly revealed during a Q&A on Instagram that she had known one of the most famous women on the planet and that she had known her for almost 20 years. She even attended my wedding a long time ago! and the most wonderful, loving, and nurturing person I’ve ever met. She has supported me since Georgie’s passing, and we have a special bond. She continued, “I’m never ending in awe of her.
I believe that the concept of time has been stolen from us in a recent piece for People about Kelly’s touching loss of her son. So I embrace my community more than I ever have by living in the here and in the moments that follow. My community showed up, boy.
The number of people who have visited and continue to support our family has completely shocked and overshadowed me. For the kindness that was shown, I alternate between my sorrow and my gratitude. When I opened my eyes in complete denial the day after my son passed away, I will never forget the day we were able to see him.
