Meghan Markle has made a major announcement about her lifestyle brand – ignoring the bitter charity row that’s engulfing her and Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex, who revealed her As Ever business earlier this year, has revealed that she is introducing her collection of products this week.

The product line, which comes off the back of her panned Netflix show With Love, Meghan, includes a raspberry spread, honey, flower sprinkles and cookie and crepe mixes. And in a newsletter sent to fans today, Meghan says she is “so excited to introduce the As ever collection to you this week”.

The newsletter comes as Meghan has now become embroiled in an almost week-long row that has engulfed Sentebale, the charity her husband set up almost 20 years ago but has now dramatically quit amid an explosive row with the organisation’s chair Dr Sophie Chandauka.

But seemingly publicly ignoring the spat, Meghan has pressed ahead with the launch of her eagerly awaited products, which she says can help fans “mimic the magic of Montecito in a way you can recreate at home”.

She writes: “Every item is inspired by the ways I show care to the people in my life, like the lemon ginger tea blend which is a fuss-free spin on the warm drink I make at home using fresh lemons from the garden. Or the crepe mix that transforms a typical weekend breakfast into a chance to reminisce.

” Crepes remind me of my time backpacking through France as a student. Biting into these streetside thin pancakes – filled with chocolate, fruit, fresh lemon and powdered sugar, or made savoury with ham and cheese – they truly are a canvas for flavour. I wanted to bring that memory and experience to you at home. (Also, they’re so easy to make!) “

Although the products set to launch are shown on the As Ever website, as yet there are no prices or information on how to buy them. But Meghan adds:” I hope when you see what I’ve worked so hard to create, you’re encouraged to know that whatever life brings, you can do it too. Your value, your creativity, your joy – that is you, as it’s always been and always will be. You are you – As ever, and forever.

“Someone once told me the biggest risk you can take is deciding not to take one at all. Now, after careful planning and preparing (while also parenting! ), it’s time to bring As ever from my home to yours so you can make the everyday exceptional in an easy yet meaningful way”.

The newsletter comes today where there has been another twist in Harry’s charity row. It has now been claimed that Harry sent an ‘ unpleasant ‘ message to the head of his former African charity after she refused to publicly defend his wife Meghan.

The Duke of Sussex dramatically quit as patron of Sentebale, an HIV charity he founded almost 20 years ago and has become embroiled in a public spat with Dr Sophie Chandauka, the organisation’s chair.

She issued a blistering statement of her own, criticising the move by Harry, co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho and the trustees of the charity to step down. And in an interview yesterday, she claimed that after an awkward moment between her and Meghan was captured on camera at a polo match to raise funds for Sentebale last year, she was asked to issue a statement by Harry’s team defending the duchess.

She said she refused the request saying “we cannot become an extension of the Sussex machine”. Now it has been reported that after Dr Chandauka’s refusal, Harry allegedly sent her a direct message asking her to “explain herself”.

Sources told The Telegraph that the message was “unpleasant in tone” and used ‘imperious’ language leaving the charity chair “taken aback”. The publication reports that this dispute is believed to have contributed to the bitter row that has engulfed the charity. The Mirror has approached the Sussexes for comment.

In an interview on Sky News yesterday, Dr Chandauka addressed the polo fundraiser in Florida claiming that Meghan had only decided to turn up at short notice – bringing her “very famous friend” Serena Williams with her.

Since Dr Chandauka’s interview yesterday, representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not commented. However, a source close to the former trustees and patrons of Sentebale dismissed her comments as a “publicity stunt”. They added: “They remain firm in their resignation, for the good of the charity, and look forward to the adjudication of the truth”.
