Fans of Meghan Markle’s most recent video were unimpressed when she showed off her most recent As Ever brand, with some accusing her of selling goods using her royal title.
Meghan Markle has come under fire for her latest As Ever release. The Duchess of Sussex is accused of having tried to “cash in” on her regal links in the advertising campaign for her brand. The former Suits star, 44, had been teasing the release of her latest item all week – and when it eventually came, some fans weren’t too impressed with how it was handled.
The clip shared on Instagram showed Meghan working at her laptop. Sitting at her desk, she was beside one of her new $64 candles and a blue notebook. The royal cypher was clearly visible in gold on the cover.
The monogram, which is made up of the letter M with a crown on top, was first shared before Meghan married Prince Harry in 2018. But fans weren’t happy with the use following Meghan’s decision to quit her royal duties in 2020.

One user on Twitter/X complained: “Another example of Meghan putting her royal cypher on pretty much anything, you can see it on her notebook in the latest Instagram story.”
Another remarked, “I rather believe that was the purpose.” If a candle is not royal, it becomes very difficult to sell it for. At this point, a third person responded, “It’s pathetic.” You’re not royal at all, if you have to remind everyone that you are.
Meghan’s As Ever website states that the product “evokes the freshness of a day in the English countryside and echoes the Duchess’ cherished memories of her May 19th, 2018 nuptials in Windsor.”
Meghan’s lifestyle brand, which launched in March 2025, has undergone a significant change with the most recent releases, including her most recent wine launch. The holiday season gives the collection its inspiration.
