Megan McKenna, a former TOWIE star, has lost her beloved pet dog Daisy, who passed away at the age of 17 with her footballer fiance Oliver Burke.
Megan McKenna has admitted she’s been “hit hard” after losing a beloved family member. The former TOWIE star, 32, who now lives in Germany after giving birth to her son, Landon, told her followers on Instagram that she’d lost her precious pooch Daisy, who has sadly died, aged 17.
Explaining that Daisy had been with the reality star for all the major milestones in her life, Megan shared a selection of snaps of her pet, including one of her dog resting on the Celebrity X Factor star’s baby bump. Captioning the emotional montage, Megan explained that Daisy died in her arms, sharing: “I’ve been putting this post off for a few weeks because it becomes real when I do. But I lost my first baby Daisy and it hit me so hard.
She passed away while I was surrounded by her. My mother and sister are right next to me. When she needed some comfort, I would sing her to sleep like I always did.
Even writing this out makes me cry. Thank you, Daisy, for supporting me through every milestone from my teenage years to my 20s and even 30s.
You still leapt and ran around like a young lamb at the age of 17. I can’t even express how much my little one will be missed. You helped me through a lot of difficult times as a child. Without your little fluffy self right there with me, I couldn’t have stayed in my own home.
My little bubs, you gave it a right turn. You and Nanny andamp, Granddad are playing in heaven right now, Megan continued.
She thanked Daisy for teaching her how to be a “good mum” to son Landon, saying, “Thankyou for teaching me how to be a mummy.” Because of you, your small meals, bathing, walkies, and cuddles, I’m a pro with Landon.
Daisy, you were the best. You were the first thing I wanted. You will always be dear to me. I’ll always be sorely missed you.
Famous Megan’s followers told her they were thinking of her as they expressed condolences in response to her sad news. Ella Morgan, the married At First Sight actress, said, “I’m so sorry Meg. I’m sending you all my love, thoughts, and hugs during a time you all can only imagine being so emotionally difficult. Oliver Burke, the reality star’s fiance, responded with two love heart emojis.
Although the birth was a “rollercoaster,” Megan and Oliver said they will definitely do it again after the birth.
Speaking about the couple’s plans to have more children, she told The Sun: “I have always wanted kids. Since I was young, I wanted to have a family and get married. I’m very family-oriented.
Going through the IVF stages is a real rollercoaster, but it’s the best decision we’ve ever made, and we’ve got another embryo on ice ready to go.
