Before shooting Love Island, Maya Jama has been “letting her skin breathe,” and she’s relying on two Korean beauty products to hydrate her.

The new series of Love Island has already been hit by drama, as the launch date was pushed back after terrifying wild fires near the filming location in South Africa. However host Maya Jama has been making the most of the extra time before filming begins, by giving her skin a chance to prepare for the nightly full glam makeup routine.

She posted on Instagram earlier last week: “Been letting the skin breathe and it’s thanking me,” and shared two skincare staples that have been helping her complexion. She’s been applying Beauty of Joseon’s Dynasty Cream and Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ which not only protect her skin from the sun, but are full of hydrating ingredients.

Emily Atack’s hydrating face oil “changed her life,” and it gives her instant glow.

One of the most well-known K-beauty brands to launch in the UK is Beauty of Joseon, for those who are unaware, for its affordable price point and coveted “glass skin” aesthetic, which is a hallmark of Korean beauty. Hydration is key to achieving that distinctive glassy skin, which the Dynasty Cream excels at.

It contains squalene, ginseng root water, squalene, and niacinamide, all of which are incredibly moisturizing and nourishing for your skin. They contain a lot of vitamins and antioxidants, which promote skin hydration, skin hydration, and skin barrier protection, giving it a fresh, dewy, plump glow. Plus, it’s affordable for both 50ml and 100ml tubes, costing only £21 per day.

If you spend a lot of time outdoors and are like Maya, sun protection is a must-have in your skincare routine. Because it contains SPF50+, Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ is a crucial component of her skincare regimen as well as protecting and nourishing your skin.

It has probiotics that make it ideal for dry, sensitive skin types because it is light, non-greasy, and lightweight. Additionally, it’s currently on sale at LookFantastic for a 50ml tube, down from £15.50 to £13.60.

We also enjoy keeping some amazing Korean beauty products in our skincare collection, including Laneige’s Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Acid Cream Moisturiser, which costs £33.50 (down from £19.50) for a 20ml jar. For hydration lasting up to 100 hours, it’s made with blue hyaluronic acid, which mixes fucoidan and double-fermented hyaluronic acid.
