Following the outcome of an investigation into alleged misconduct, Gregg Wallace was terminated from the BBC cooking program MasterChef last month.

Gregg Wallace, the host of MasterChef, hosted the program for 20 years.

Gregg Wallace may have already ruined his “only route to redemption” following his exit from MasterChef last month, according to a celebrity PR expert. In November 2024, the 60-year-old took a break away from the BBC programme after 13 individuals came forward with accusations about inappropriate sexual remarks against him, spread over 17 years.

Gregg later apologized for making the claim that “a few middle-class women of a certain age” were the ones who made the allegations in a speech the following month.

According to BBC News, 50 more people claimed that he had uncomfortable encounters with various television shows and locations while he was away from the screens.

The presenter was fired from the show last month after 20 years following an investigation into these allegations.

The broadcaster, who was speaking to The Sun shortly after, said he is “so sorry” for anyone hurt by his behavior but that he is “not a groper, sex pest, or flasher” instead.

He continued, adding that his recent diagnosis of autism also made him struggle to “read people.”

Speaking on behalf of Betfred, Kayley Cornelius said: “While Masterchef may survive this controversy, Gregg Wallace’s presenting career is looking already dead in the water.

It would take a broadcaster with real guts to hire him for another TV show given the high volume of upheld accounts against him.

“The only real route to redemption he had to wiggle his way back into the industry was the hope of being offered a spot on a reality series such as Big Brother or I’m A Celebrity, where he’d appear as the token ‘controversial’ figure.”

Kayleigh believes that this opportunity will allow him to “regain public support and protect his reputation,” but she wonders if it will be too late.

The PR expert explains that a celebrity’s first actions are “crucial” and “can set the tone for the lasting impact it will have on their career.”

Kayleigh speculates that Gregg’s sudden admission to the public may have dissuaded producers from giving him another chance to redeem himself.

Greggg’s mistakes served as inspiration for Wynne Evans’ and Phillip Schofield’s. He’s already slipped past the first obstacle and dug himself even further into a difficult hole, she observed.

He came across as rash and directionless in his exclusive interview, proving that the general public isn’t ready to accept him as seriously nor to welcome him back in. As a result, he made himself a laughing stock online.

This will undoubtedly turn off producers a lot.

After an accusation against Gregg’s former co-host John Torode for using “an incredibly offensive racist term” was upheld, Gregg’s former co-host will not have his contract renewed. He claimed in a statement that the alleged incident had left him without memory and that he was shocked and depressed by the accusation.
