Elizabeth Sobinoff, a former member of the Married At First Sight Australia team, revealed on Instagram that she miscarried during her pregnancy.
Former Married At First Sight participant Elizabeth Sobinoff has revealed she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage between the births of her two children.
The 34-year-old reality TV alum shared the personal news on Instagram on Monday, reflecting on a difficult chapter in her life. Sobinoff, who rose to fame during her appearances on MAFS in 2019 and 2020, is now a mother to an 18-month-old daughter and a newborn son, who was born in April.
“Saying goodbye to a chapter of life that had its ups and downs,” she wrote in her caption, adding: “It is bittersweet to say goodbye to that chapter of my life. I have my two babies and it is the most beautiful feeling in the world.”
She shared that she miscarried before becoming pregnant with her second child and that her children are 17 months apart in the post.
She wrote, “My babies are 17 months apart.” Between my two pregnancies, I miscarried. I miscarried. After my initial scan, the baby had a heartbeat that was fast approaching, and less than 48 hours later, I was experiencing a miscarriage. I had a Wednesday scan, but by that Sunday I had lost the baby.
She continued to describe how deeply she was affected by the loss, revealing how strongly she felt about becoming pregnant once more.
She wrote, “I was focused.” “I couldn’t get past this,” he said. I felt like I needed a break after losing the baby. I became pregnant with my son about a week and a half later.
She acknowledged that she had not fully recovered from the grief at the time as a result of her reflections on the emotional repercussions.
She said, “I just lost a baby I wanted so badly.” Then, I became pregnant, and this was confirmed. I had not acted on my feelings. Deep inside, I pushed it down. I can recall being informed that I was pregnant. I cried with joy when my girlfriend was with me.
The MAFS star explained how motherhood has changed her outlook on life, and how that helped her to conclude her message.
“I’ve been pregnant for a while. Other than being pregnant, I’m currently on the verge of enjoying my children and gaining my new identity. It is sweet and bitter.
Dubbed “Australia’s Most Confident Bride” during her season six appearance on MAFS, Elizabeth is now married to engineer Alex Vega and has stepped away from reality TV to focus on her family life.
