Customers at M&, S are frantically trying to purchase a £12 perfume with a warm, woody autumn scent that is reportedly “very similar” to Le Labo’s $170 Santal 33 fragrance.
If you’re looking for the perfect perfume for autumn, something that’s warm, woody and cosy smelling is the perfect choice. And Marks & Spencer’s newest fragrance launch is the ideal choice for the season thanks to its warm and spicy notes.
The Warmth Eau de Parfum is a great scent for the colder months, and is said to smell “very similar” to Le Labo’s iconic Santal 33 fragrance, which would set you back £170 for a 50ml bottle. The M&S perfume on the other hand has got a much more affordable price tag to match, costing just £12 for the same size 50ml bottle.

The M&S fragrance is from the brand’s Apothecary wellbeing fragrance collection, which brings a sense of comfort and wellbeing to your daily routine thanks to carefully combined essential oils. The Warmth Eau de Parfum combines notes of sandalwood, cedarwood, cinnamon and cardamom to give that cosy, warming feel, and with the spicy cinnamon notes making it great for the Christmas period.
Similar notes of cardamom, Australian sandalwood, and cedarwood are combined with spicy, leathery, and musky notes, along with some lighter iris and violet notes in Le Labo’s Santal 33. The overall scent is influenced by a fire that burns on the American West’s plains, giving off an earthy, warm, and rugged vibe.
S Warmth Eau de Parfum, a reviewer of M&, described it as “lovely fragrance, very comparable to a much more expensive La Labo one.” Although this is longer, you can spray gay abandon at this price point.
Another member shared their love for the apothecary line, particularly the perfume. Great value for what some brand names cost at a fraction of the price.
Many fans’ biggest regret was their longevity, and another wrote, “Mixed feelings about this. First off, the smell is fantastically similar to Santal 33 but slightly earthier. also a great value. Despite being sold as an EDP, I’d expect it to last more than an hour, despite the price. Since it is so difficult to smell it for any longer, frequent reapplication is required, costing less.
However, others didn’t care that the Warmth Eau de Parfum didn’t last too long because it was so well-known, with one woman claiming, “This is a beautiful fragrance, it’s like cosy in a bottle!” purchased as presents for recipients, who adore it! The body wash is also fantastic”!
The Maison Margiela Replica By The Fireplace Eau de Toilette is currently available at LookFantastic, but it has another, stronger alternative. The 30ml bottle is usually £62 but is currently down to £52.70, whilst the 100ml is now £106.25 down from £125.
The price of the Bespoke Sweet Spice &, Sandalwood Eau De Parfum at Superdrug is currently reduced from £9.99 to just £6.66, making it even more affordable. Its finishing notes include sandalwood and vetiver, which are combined with jasmine and orange blossom and notes of nutmeg, bergamot, and saffron.
