Our beauty editor learned some top tricks from a masterclass with well-known facialist Melanie Simon on how to contour her jawline using this cliched tool.
Over the years, we’ve tried and tested dozens, if not hundreds, of beauty tools here at The Mirror, but one is always a winner for its immediately recognizable effects: the ZIIP Halo.
The ZIIP Halo is a nifty handheld device that uses microcurrent and nanocurrent to lift and sculpt the face and provide a number of other skin benefits. It was created by celebrity facialist Melanie Simon, who has treated the faces of celebrities like Margot Robbie and Jennifer Aniston.
I’ve had my use of mine regularly for a few months and have been pleased with the results, but when I had the chance to meet Melanie at the new CurrentBody Skin: The Clinic in Cheshire and learn her tips and tricks for using it more effectively, I did so.
I tried to find out why David Beckham, 50, has a great appearance and has significantly improved skin.
For fine hair like mine, Olaplex’s most recent volume-boosting release is a game-changer.
There are a number of different facial programs to choose from, each with its own benefits, and the ZIIP Halo app syncs with the device. Melanieie revealed that The Lift, a four-minute routine that syncs with the Halo without the app (simply turn it on and “up and out,” Melanie says), is one of her favorites. I typically glide it over my face while drinking my morning green drink, but Melanie suggests playing the cycle twice, four minutes each side of my face, for best results.
Melanie added that she enjoys finishing her session with the two-minute Contour treatment, which creates powerful microcurrent waves and is particularly effective at sculpting the jawline and cheekbones.
Melanie claims she always returns to The Founder’s Favourite, which only has nanocurrent and no microcurrent and can be used to cover your entire face while watching TV. You’ll wake up with skin that looks noticeably better, Melanie claims.
I discovered which ZIIP conductive gel also affects. Golden Gel has anti-ageing advantages, while Silver Gel has anti-ageing benefits, and Crystal Gel has anti-age benefits. Some ZIIP users online recommend the £9.95 Amazon Kaeso Beauty Regenerate Collagen Micro Current Gel if you’re looking for a less expensive alternative.
The ZIIP Halo has a price tag of £379.99, which is a bit expensive, but you might occasionally be able to find sales or discount codes using CurrentBody. However, given the number of beauty editors who love it and see results, including myself, I’d say it was a wise decision and that I’ve learned to make the most of it.
You should consider purchasing an LED mask if redness, inflammation, or early signs of age are more important to you. Our favorite home gadgets right now are the CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2, £399, and the Shark CShark CryoGlow Mask, which is currently priced at £269.
