Sydney Lohmann, a midfielder from Germany, has agreed to join Manchester City for a three-year contract.
After eight seasons in the Frauen-Bundesliga, Lohmann, 25, joins her country in Euro 2025 and transitions to the Women’s Super League (WSL).
She claimed that “personal growth” can be facilitated by playing in other countries.
Lohmann stated, “I have a really positive feeling here at Manchester City.”
“I’ve always wanted to play abroad at some point in my career, and I just thought this year would be the right time to do that,” I said.
City finished fourth in the WSL last year, just 17 points off of Chelsea’s fourth place finish.
Lohmann stated, “I can see that’s possible, so I definitely want to win a title.”
Everyone is really looking forward to doing better, according to “I believe things have probably been quite tough in the last few months or years.”
