This month, Manchester City are emerging as potential signings for Marc Guehi, the Crystal Palace captain.

According to BBC Sport, City are looking into signing the England defender following the injuries suffered by Chelsea’s Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias in Sunday’s draw.

John Stones, an England defender, is also currently out injured.

Before making a final decision regarding whether to continue investing in Guehi during the current transfer window, City will wait to find out the full extent of the injuries sustained by Gvardiol and Dias.

Max Alleyne, a academy defender from his loan spell at Watford, may return to the squad for Wednesday’s Premier League game against Brighton.

After signing on a season-loan, the 20-year-old made 17 appearances for the Hornets, which was slowed as City attempt to address their growing injury woes in defense. The son of former England cricketer and current Gloucestershire head coach Mark Alleyne, the 20-year-old made those appearances.

Manager Pep Guardiola claimed that Dias and Gvardiol’s situation “does not look good” after City’s draw with Chelsea, which saw them concede an injury-time equalizer. The pair could be sidelined “for a few weeks,” according to manager Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard continued, “We have a lot of injuries. John Stones hasn’t been in concert for how long. Josko will now be absent, while Ruben will.

We always know that “Nathan]Ake” cannot play frequently. Stay strong, and we’ll find a solution.

There is a lot of interest in Guehi.

Guehi, who has won 26 caps for England, is out of contract this summer.

Given City’s injury issues, it was anticipated that he would leave Selhurst Park as a free agent at the end of the season.

With restrictions allowing Guehi to enter a pre-agreement with an international club starting this month, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Atletico Madrid are just a few of the European clubs that have expressed interest in signing the defender on a free transfer.

Guehi was on the verge of signing for £35 million with Liverpool last summer, but Palace decided against it when deadline day approached.

Guehi’s future is uncertain, but the Anfield club is still very interested, and it will be interesting to see if they will announce their summer signing plans.
