Holders Manchester United will head to Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Women’s FA Cup, while Chelsea will host Liverpool.

The Manchester rivals also met in the League Cup quarter-final in January, with City winning 2-1 on their way to booking a place in next Saturday’s final against Chelsea.

Liverpool are in their first FA Cup semi-final since the 2016-17 season.

Both ties are scheduled to take place on Sunday, 13 April and will be broadcast live across the BBC.

The final, which takes place on Sunday, 18 May, will also be shown live on the BBC.

Last year’s winners United clinched their place in the last four for a third season in a row with a 3-1 win over Championship side Sunderland on Saturday.

In the first of Sunday’s three quarter-finals, City were 2-0 winners over Aston Villa.

Current Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea beat bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace 1-0, while Liverpool edged Arsenal 1-0 away from home courtesy of a Daphne van Domselaar own goal.

Should City and Chelsea win their respective ties and meet in the final, it would mean they will face each other for a sixth time in all competitions this season.

The two League Cup finalists will also face each other in the Champions League quarter-finals, either side of a WSL meeting between them later this month.
