Nearly 20 years after leaving, music legend Madonna re-signed with Warner Records, releasing a new album in 2026, and reuniting with DJ Stuart Price, a long-time collaborator.
Madonna is excitedly heading back to the company that first helped establish herself as the “Queen of Pop.” After nearly two decades away, the 67-year-old superstar has re-signed with Warner Records, the label behind some of her most iconic releases.
Madonna, who parted ways with Warner in 2007 after agreeing a landmark deal with Live Nation, hits a full-circle with the announcement. She is now a member of the organization that produced Hard Candy, Confessions on a Dance Floor, and American Life, among other career-defining projects.
Sharing the news with fans, Madonna posted a photo series to Instagram on Thursday, as she posed in gold heels, fishnet tights, and a very risqué silver sheer dress. “It Feels like home with Warner Records” she wrote. “Back to music, Back to the Dance Floor Back to where it all began.”

She confirmed that her next album, COADF – P. 2, will be released in 2026, along with the announcement. She and DJ Stuart Price, who released her 2005 smash hit Confessions on a Dance Floor, will reunite for the record.
Reflecting on her long career, Madonna said: “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer.
Warner Records has been a genuine partner with me since the beginning. I’m relieved to be reunited, and I look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected, and perhaps starting some important conversations.
Following her most acclaimed studio release in seven years, Madame X, which received rave reviews from her millions of worldwide fans, will be her first in seven years.
Following the positive news, Warner Records’ Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck praised Madonna’s comeback as a historic occasion.
In a joint statement, they said, “We are honoured to welcome Madonna back home to Warner Records.” Madonna is the model, the breaker, the ultimate cultural juggernaut, not just an artist. She has influenced the sound of world music for decades and, through her vision, invention, and fearless artistry, reshaped culture itself.
This signing “creates a historic, full-circle moment,” reaffirms her unmatched influence, and opens the door to a new, exciting era of impact and creativity.
Madonna and Warner have a long history, with one of their imprints Sire Records forming her signature in 1982.
In addition to her self-titled 1983 debut, her self-titled 1983 debut and a number of international hits, like a virgin, which was released in 1984, and like a prayer, which reached the top of the charts in 1989, were the result of that agreement. In 1992, she collaborated with Time Warner to create her own label, Maverick. Her 25-year partnership with Warner came to an end in 2008 with the release of Hard Candy.
The pop icon is gearing up to begin a new chapter in her record-breaking career as she approaches the milestone 70th birthday and is nearly 20 years old.
