Just 16 months after the comedian split with her fellow comic ex-husband, Lucy Beaumont was caught at the Big Feastival in the Cotswolds wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.
Lucy Beaumont seems to be embracing a fresh start following the end of her marriage to fellow comedian Jon Richardson.
The 42-year-old comic has recently been seen sporting a sparkling diamond ring on her engagement ring after enjoying a hugely successful stand-up tour.
The sighting took place last Sunday at the Big Feastival in the Cotswolds, where Lucy attended the family-friendly event held on Blur bassist Alex James’s Oxfordshire farm.
The comedian was seen mingling with festivalgoers and standing in line for tacos while wearing a sleeveless blue-and-white top, ripped jeans, and wedge sandals. The glittering three-diamond gold band on her hand, however, really caught people’s attention.
It marks the first time Lucy has been publicly photographed wearing the ring, in pictures obtained by the Mail, and fans have been quick to connect the dots between the comedian’s new piece of jewellery and her personal life.
Since she first saw sound engineer Martin Wallace, 44, with him in October of last year, the mother-of-one has been in contact with him. The pair were photographed leaving the Manchester Lowry Theatre together, and they were later spotted leaving the Royal Hall in Harrogate that month.
Wallace, who lives in Stockport and has collaborated with Lucy’s ex-husband on his 2014 Nidiot tour, is based there and has done so with famous people like Dara Briain and Rob Beckett.
Lucy hasn’t yet revealed the identity of her new partner, but in her new sketches, she has been open to making changes.
She joked to fans during a recent performance that she had been seeking medical attention because she had been wondering if menopause had begun because of her growing anger.
She recalled how the doctor assured her that she was alright while adding that there was still time to go.
Lucy and Jon announced their nine-year union’s conclusion in a joint statement released in April 2024. We would like to let you know that we have separated after nine years of marriage, they said. We have decided to divorce and separate ourselves after making the difficult decision to do so informally and amicably.
The couple, who have an eight-year-old daughter, requested anonymity and said that they were only concerned with her well-being.
Fans were shocked to learn that the pair had been working together since they tied the knot, beginning their careers as comedians.
The Richardsons’ hit television series, Meet the Richardsons, ran for five seasons and made them known as a comedy double act. It featured the pair as exaggerated versions of themselves.
Although Lucy has frequently acknowledged that many viewers mistake their on-screen squabbles for reality, Lucy has frequently acknowledged that they were exaggerated for laughs.
Despite her personal upheaval, Lucy has resurrected her sense of self-assurance in her career. Her most recent stand-up performance has sold out venues nationwide, extending its run until the year’s end.
She is also set to appear in the highly anticipated first BBC series of The Celebrity Traitors. If the ring is anything to go by, it seems she’s now come out the other end of her divorce romantically too.
