Men’s Six Nations: England v France

Date: Saturday, 8 February Kick-off: 16: 45 GMT Venue: Allianz Stadium, Twickenham

Cadan Murley has been injured, but Alex Lozowski has been named in the England training squad for Saturday’s Six Nations game against France at Twickenham.

Murley, the Harlequins winger who scored a try on his Saturday debut against Ireland, missed training on Monday because of a foot injury that required a scan.

The 25-year-old could return to the England camp later in the tournament.

Under former head coach Eddie Jones, Lozowski, 31, won his final five international caps in 2018.

He was part of Steve Borthwick’s 36-man squad for last year’s autumn internationals, but did not feature.

England tasked with silencing ‘ legend ‘ Dupont

France thrashing Wales 43-0 at the weekend in Paris was a stylish start to their Six Nations campaign.

Olympic gold medal-winning captain Antoine Dupont, who contributed three try assists, will be a key figure for England to keep quiet if they are to recover from their defeat to Ireland.

The best player he has ever seen, according to England senior coach Richard Wigglesworth, who missed the 2024 Six Nations to concentrate on sevens in the run-up to Paris 2024.

Wigglesworth claimed on the BBC Radio 5 Live podcast, “I think we’ve run out of words to express how good he is.”

“The reason people speak about him in the terms they do, and rightly so, is there is strength, power, vision, skill and there is competitiveness. There is no way you are going to say, “This is where I am going to get him.”
